Vidyasagar University is a UGC recognized, AICTE approved & β€˜B’ grade University as accredited by NAAC, imparting professional /nonprofessional education, research, and training. In addition to its several campuses, the university has around 100 affiliated colleges and 12 study centers for distance education.

In addition to different undergraduate and postgraduate courses, the university provides Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) to its students every year. Only aspirants with the relevant qualification can register for the B.Ed programme.

Aspirants will be shortlisted for admission via counseling organized by the central selection committee for B.Ed admissions. Aspirants can register themselves to the above-mentioned course by submitting an online application form along with the fee amount Rs. 280/- within the stipulated time.

  • The aspirant must possess bachelors or master’s degree with at least 50% aggregate of marks and 45% marks (for SC/ST category aspirants)
  • The aspirant should have studied Arts/Science/Commerce in his/her bachelors or masters degree with two subjects at the degree level of the available mode subjects (Bengali, English, History, Sanskrit, Economics, Geography, Mathematics, Life Science, Physical Science, Work Education, and Education)
  • The age of the aspirant should not be more than 38 years as on June 30

Step To Apply


  • The aspirant can register via the online application procedure available at the university website for admission to B.Ed. programme. (Both Side) if the aspirant applies as VU participants.
  • Along with finished applications, aspirants must submit the application fee of Rs. 280/- via the available online payment modes. The aspirant can pay the application fee via Online Debit card/ Credit card/ Netbanking.
  • The aspirant must take the printout of the completely filled-in applications along with a copy of online fees receipt for subsequent use


  1. Application fees payment receipt.
  2. Self-Attested copy of Hall Ticket / Certificate of Madhyamik or equivalent examination for Evidence of Age.
  3. Self-Attested copy (both sides) of mark sheets of Madhyamik, Higher Secondary, Graduation (Part-I, Part-II, & Part-III), Postgraduate Examination.
  4. Self-Attested copy of Vidyasagar University Registration Certificate
  5. Caste/disability certificates from the suitable authority (if applicable)

Admission Procedure


Selection of the aspirants to the above-mentioned course will be done on the basis of counseling organized by the central selection committee for B.Ed admissions.

Selection Procedure

Selection of the aspirants will be made through counseling according to merit/rank by the central selection committee for B.Ed. Admission. Counseling Schedule, rules & regulation and other details will be announced along with the merit list. aspirants pursuing any other Course of Studies/Job/Full-time Research Work will not be allowed to pursue this course simultaneously. 


  • Seat reservation for SC/ST/PH aspirants is as per Government Rules.

  • 3% seats will be reserved for the physically handicapped category which will be reserved separately in GEN, SC & ST Category
