Admission releasement for B. Tech course in various streams has been unveiled by Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) via Vellore Institute of Technology Engineering Entrance Exam (VITEEE) 2018. Students can apply for total 16 streams available at Vellore & 5 at Chennai campus. Students can get admission in any of the below mentioned departments: Test will be organized in online & offline various sessions of Two & half hour each from April 06, 2018 (tentative) to April 17, 2018 (tentative).
VITEEE is the computer-based test (CBT). Students have to book their exam slot on the priority basis as per their requirement. Merit list will be prepared on the basis of marks obtained in VITEEE 2018 only. The test will be of two and half hour period with total 120 questions (40 each from Chemistry, Physics & Mathematics).
Students can also take the VITEEE 2018 mock test on VIT’s official website. A dummy login will be given to all registered aspirants. It will help them to exercise & predict the type of the questions which could be asked in the exam.

Students who have studied only PCB at 10+2 level are applicable, offered they have to clear Mathematics bridge course after joining this course.
Qualifying exam:
Students, who are appearing for VITEEE 2018 must have finished or about to appear in one of these qualifying exams;
Note: Students who have studied via National School of Open Schooling (NIOS) are also applicable for VITEEE 2018.
Age Limit:
Those students are applicable whose date of birth falls on or after July 01, 1994. Age limit will be cross-checked via your Xth certificate for authentication purpose.
VITEEE application form can be allocated in four various ways:
You required going to the official address of VIT University. Register yourself; you will receive a password on your e-mail. Now login again with the new password & fill all details. A new registration number will be generated. Now pay application fee of INR 960 via net banking/credit or debit card.
Note: If the transaction is not established successful due to network mistake even after the deduction of amount from your account. Please wait for three working days; you can proceed further after receiving the mail from VIT. In case the transaction establish incomplete after four working days you should send the mail to [email protected]
After payment, upload your scanned photograph (3.5 cm to 4.5 cm) & signature (6 cm to 2 cm) in jpg/jpeg pattern. Do not send any document to the university.
Note: Postal charges will be availed by VIT. Students should write their mobile number, name & address on the other side of the DD too.
You can obtain the prospectus in person from any campus of the university by handing over the DD of INR 960 in favor of “VIT university” payable at Vellore.
Students can also obtain the prospectus & application form via different post offices situated all over India by paying INR 990 in cash. Fill the form using a Black ballpoint pen & shade the bubbles via pencil. Affix the recent color photograph (Do not attest the photo). Write down the valid e-mail ID & accurate test center. Also, fill the details regarding hostel accommodation if you required.
After filling the computerized OMR sheet properly, write mailing address completely on the self- addressed envelope & send it via registered post to the university before February 28, 2018.
Note 1: Students, who have applied via DD, have to send the hard copy of Application form (duly filled along with relevant documents) to VIT University.
Note 2: Application forms once sold shall not be taken back under any situation. Fee once paid will not be remitted.
How to check the status of Application:
VIT University provides the provision to track the status of the application for the benefit of students. Once the application will be received at the university, an SMS will be sent to the student regarding confirmation of application. Students can also check the status by signing in to the website by using their Application number; however, this facility will be available only after three weeks of dispatch of application.
Slot Booking:
Students who will apply via offline or online mode, their password for slot booking will be sent through the mail. Students have to choose the test city first (Same as filled in the application form) & then date & session of the test. This facility will be offered on first cum first cater basis to applicable students who have finished their form in all respects. So students are advised to offer valid e-mail address on the application form. VIT University provides provision of slot booking in VITEEE via scheduling. Students can choose their test slot according to their interest.
Note: Keep your slot booking password clearly confidential. Do not share it with anyone.
Slot booking Process:
The score of VITEEE 2018 is the only criteria to secure admission in VIT University. After confirmation & allocation of seat you have to make an advance payment of INR 50, 000 in form of DD in favor of “VIT University” payable at Vellore which comprises INR 10,000 as counseling fee. totaling & regarding will be performed. Counseling will be held at Chennai & Vellore campus both for all B. Tech.
Note: University will not send call letter to any student whether selected or not, however, the rank will be informed via SMS on the number offered at the time of application.

Note: Final selection will be confirmed after payment of balance fee. In this regard, students have to send it to Chennai or Vellore as per their seat allotment.

Note: Students hailing from Telangana & Andhra Pradesh, have to submit the memorandum of marks at the time of admission.
Note: Although counseling fee is nonrefundable it can be adjusted in the tuition fee once a student joins the university.

Reservation:
Relaxation of 10% i.e. 50% marks in aggregate need for SC/ST & natives of Jammu & Kashmir.
Note: Students hailing from North Eastern states like Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Assam, Mizoram, Sikkim & Tripura have to maintain the aggregate of minimum 50% marks.
