North Bengal University is a UGC Recognised, AICTE Approved public university which was founded in 1962. The university has 23 departments imparting professional/non-professional education, research, and training to many students every year.

The university provides admission to the following Under Graduate and Post Graduate degree programme via its Faculty of Law: 

Undergraduate courses:

  • BA.LLB (Hons.) – (5 years) (80 seats)

Postgraduate courses:

  • LL.M – (2 years) (25 seats)

Only aspirants with the relevant qualification can register for the above mentioned programmes. Admission to the above programmes will be done straight on the basis of the merit of the aspirants in the qualifying degree.

Aspirants can register for admission by filling-in and be submitting the prescribed application form along with the need procedure fee of Rs. 150/- for Under Graduate programme and Rs. 500/- for Post Graduate programme, on or before the last date.

North Bengal University Law Admissions 2018 Eligibility Criteria

LLB

BA.LLB (Honours):

Eligibility:

  • The aspirant should have passed the higher secondary (10+2) examination held by the West Bengal Council from this university or any other university.
  • Aspirant’s age should not be more than 20 years in case of general category aspirants and 22 years (in case of SC/ST category aspirants)
  • Aspirant should have obtained minimum 55% of aggregate marks in qualifying examinations and 50% marks (in case of SC/ST category aspirants)

LLM

  • Aspirant must possess bachelor’s degree in law from this university or any other recognised university
  • The aspirant should have secured at least 55% aggregate of marks in the qualifying examinations and 50% marks (for SC/ST category aspirants).

North Bengal University Law Admissions 2018 How To Apply

LLB & LLM

  • Aspirants can register themselves to the above mentioned Under Graduate course by submitting duly filled-in applications along with the procedure fee of Rs. 150/- (Rs. 75/- for SC/ST aspirants) via cash or demand draft (DD)
  • Aspirants can register themselves for admission to BA.LLB and LL.M programme via the official university website. Upon clicking the “Apply Online” link on the website, aspirants will be asked to register themselves by signing up with their personal details
  • Aspirants can register themselves to the above mentioned Under Graduate course by submitting duly filled-in applications along with the procedure fee of Rs. 500/- (Rs. 200/- for SC/ST aspirants) via cash or demand draft (DD)
  • The aspirant can submit the fees via the online payment modes or challan at the University Cash Counter in the Administrative Building of the University of North Bengal.
  • After that, the aspirant must upload the scanned copy of his/her photograph and signature. Subsequently, students should fill the academic details and submit the need procedures fee to clear the registration procedure.

Selection of the aspirant to the above mentioned Under Graduate & Post Graduate courses will be done on the basis of marks obtained in the recognised qualifying examination.
