UOM (University of Mysore), Mysore was founded on 26 July 1916. It promotes teaching and research in conventional and traditional domains of Arts, Humanities, Pure and Applied Sciences and professional branches. It is approved by UGC Act and accredited by NAAC. It offers both undergraduate and post-graduate courses in different fields of Arts, commerce, science, technology etc.University of Mysore is a public university in India. It has its main campus in the city of Mysore and extension campuses in the neighbouring districts of Hassan, and Mandya.The motto get on the emblem of the University ‘Nothing is equal to knowledge’ and ‘I always uphold the truth’ summarise the vision and idealism of the founders of the University. The territorial jurisdiction of the University, which originally covered all the nine districts of southern Karnataka State, is now restricted to four districts viz., Mysore, Mandya, Hassan and Chamarajanagar.

B. An LLB is a Five-year integrated course in the Field of Law and B.P.Ed is a two-year post-graduate programme in the Field of Education. Admission in these programmes is given on the basis of qualifying examination and even entrance test for B.A LLB.

Aspirants who satisfy the eligibility can register themselves via filling the application form, make the registration payment as asked by the university.

Admission Eligibility

Bachelor of Arts + Bachelor of Laws [B.A.L.L.B.]

The aspirant should have done P.U.C (Pre-University Course) or 10+2 with a minimum of 45% aggregate (40% for SC/ST Aspirants).

Bachelor of Physical Education [B.P.Ed]

  1. The aspirant should have a bachelor’s degree in any subject with a minimum aggregate of 50%. They should produce the medical certificate to the college allowed by a medical officer, not below the rank of District Surgeon.
  2. The aspirant should have participated in Inter-College/Inter-Zonal/District/School Competitions in sports and games recognized by Government of India/AIU/IOA/SGFI.

  1. The aspirant should have bachelor’s degree in Physical Education with a minimum aggregate of 45%.

                                                              OR

  1. The aspirant should have bachelor’s degree in any branch with a minimum of 45% with Physical education as a mandatory/elective subject.

                                                                                 OR

  1. The aspirant should have bachelor’s degree in any branch with a minimum of 45% and should have participated in Inter-University/State/National Competitions or should have secured the 1st/2nd/3rd position in Inter-College/Inter-Zonal/District School competitions in sports and games recognized by Government of India/AIU/IOA/SGFI.

                                                                                  OR

  1. The aspirant should have bachelor’s degree in any branch with a minimum of 45% and should have participated in International competitions or should have secured the 1st/2nd/3rd position in National/Inter-University competitions in sports and games recognized by Government of India/AIU/IOA/SGFI.

                                                                                    OR

  1. The aspirant should have bachelor’s degree in any branch with a minimum of 45% and should have three- year experience in teaching (trained physical education teachers/coaches).
  • For admission in B.P.Ed, one should not be more than 25 years of age on July 01, 2018, 27 years for aspirants who participated in Inter-College/state/National competitions and 34 years for in-service teachers.

  • Aspirants should fill in the application form of the institution in all respects. Application forms can be filled in and submitted via online method only. 

 

  •  Aspirants should make an account in the official site of the university by setting a strong password and providing an e-mail address. A single form is to be filled for all courses mentioning the discipline/department/centers/institution/college as the preferences will not be changed afterward.

     
  • After filling out the relevant details in the form, one has to pay the registration fee as well through online portals of debit card/credit card/net banking. The amount to be paid is INR 300. The amount for different courses shall be paid separately.
  •                                                                              After payment, the university shall generate separate applications of every subject opted by the candidate which has to be printed offline by the candidate.
  • Now, the aspirants should attach all the relevant documents to the application to substantiate the claim made in the application, affix his/her signature and accept the declaration jointly with the parents/guardians in the printed applications.
  • Hand over the printed application along with the documents attached to the related Chairman of Selection Committee of that subject.
  • Aspirants should submit the following attested photocopies of relevant documents along with the printed application:
    1. Marksheets and certificates of P.U.C/10+2 and graduation
    2. Certificate of sports and games allowed by the Director of Physical Education, University of Mysore, Mysore.
    3. Certificates of Literary or Cultural activities (if any).
    4. Certificate issued by NCC Directorate or NSS Programme coordinator of the University of Mysore.
    5. Certificate of Employer/Competent Authority for the In-service person and Certificate from Zilla Sainik Board/Competent Authority for the Ex-Service person (for aspirants under Defence quota).
    6. Caste Certificate for minority category students.
    7. Certificate allowed by a Doctor of the rank of Professor in a Government Medical College/Hospital. A single form is to be filled for all courses mentioning the branch/department/centers/institution/college as the preferences will not be changed afterward.
    8. After filling out the relevant details in the form, one has to pay the registration fee as well via online portals of debit card/credit card/net banking.
    9. Income Certificate.
    10. Certificate from MHRD, New Delhi for Kashmiri Migrants and Parsi Students.
    11. Four stamp-sized Photographs.
    • All these original certificates and documents should be submitted at the time of admission.

    Notes:

    The University of Mysore has separate hostels for men and women. It also has separate cells for minority students and other student clubs.

  • Admission Procedure

    Bachelor of Arts + Bachelor of Laws [B.A.L.L.B.]

    Admission will be on the basis of 10+2 marks and entrance examination. Aspirants who have passed 

    Bachelor of Physical Education [B.P.Ed]

    Admission will be on the basis of academic performance in 10+2 and graduation marks, sports achievement and points scored in Physical Efficiency Tests organized by the institution. Also, Physical fitness is assessed by National Physical Fitness Programme Tests of India.

    Reservation Criteria

    Reservations of seats are done as per the regulations of Government of India.
