The University of Gour Banga is a 30.5-acre campus on the periphery of Malda, providing Undergraduate Courses concerned to Arts, Commerce & Science streams. courses, 12 colleges offer B.Ed. course & one College provides B.P.Ed. Currently, the University of Gour Banga has 34 affiliated colleges out of which 20 general degree colleges offer B.A. /B.Sc. /B.Com. /B.C.A. /B.B.A. / B.H.M. Course and one college organizes 5 years integrated LL.B. (B.A. & LL.B) course.

Under the provisions of the university scheme, seat allocation is reserved for students belonging to SC/ST or Physically Handicapped. Students may apply online for different courses and the colleges affiliated to them.

Aspirants have to fill the following details in the application form; 

  • Personal Details: Aspirant Name, Mobile Number, Guardian’s name, Gender, Category (General/ST/SC/OBC-A/OBC-B), Date of Birth, Current Address, Email ID.  
  • Educational details: Passing year, Registration Number & Board name of Madhyamik, Board name of & Higher Secondary, Passing Year of H.S, Total Marks, Marks Obtained, University Name, Registration Number with Year.

STEP 1: Fill in all the personal & educational/institutional details as per need in the form. You will receive an SMS regarding the Registration ID and password on you registered mobile number (which you have offerd at the time of registration)

STEP 2:  

  • Choose the need candidature type (Fresher/Deputed)
  • Submit the need academic information.
  • Login into your account via the sent registration ID and password and fill in the need personal and educational details.
  • After filling up the details, choose the graduation type (Honors/Pass).
  • Choose the preferred payment option Online/Offline. 40.00 (Rupees Twenty Two) for Offline Mode.

    All offline payments can be done through bank challan.

STEP 3:

  • Print the form and carry it at all the time during admissions.
  • Aspirants have to upload their self-attested scanned passport size photo (Max 2 MB).

Application fee: INR 700.00 (Rupees Seven Hundred Only) + INR.

Admission Procedure

B.Ed

For deputed participants, selection would largely be on the basis of their teaching experience, preferably the in-service IX-XII teaching participants.

For freshers, selection will be purely on the basis of academic qualification as per G.O. (calculation of score marks).

For physically handicapped students selection will take place on the basis of percentage of disability and score/marks as per G.O.

Counseling Process:

  • Interested aspirants have to current themselves 30 minutes before the commencement of the procedure along with the print out of their Online Application Form and Original documents for verification.
  • A payment of INR 2000/- as counseling fees (refundable) must be deposited at the time of counseling procedure. 
  • The counseling programme schedule will be published along with the final merit lists on the prescribed date on the university website.

NOTE:  The fee is non-refundable if the aspirant fails to appear at the time of admission.

The payment of the entire annual fee has to be made at the time of admission only.  For Self-Financing Colleges: INR 1, 40,000.00 (FOR TWO YEARS) + Rs. 5,000.00 as refundable caution money  Break-up of Fee Structure for Self-Financing B.Ed. Colleges:  1ST YEAR Admission /Tuition Fees: Rs. 70,000.00 

2ND YEAR Admission /Tuition Fees: Rs. 70,000.00

Notes

OTHER IMPORTANT INFORMATION

  • Students who fail to attend the college premises in all first 15 days from the commencement of classes may be struck off from the college roles and the seat will be marked vacant.
  • Minimum 75% attendance of total lectures is mandatory for all students. Any student with less the minimum shall not be allowed to appear in the final examinations.
  • Other university students shall submit their Migration certificate within 30 days from the date of admission to the Principal/Teacher responsible for admission procedures.
