The University of Agricultural Science, Bangalore (UAS) is an autonomous body which offers specialized undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) degree programmes in different disciplines of agricultural sciences. Currently, the university provides 9 programmes at Under Graduate level, 21 programmes at Post Graduate level and the research programme i.e. Ph.D. in 14 branches.

The university provides the following undergraduate level courses in different branches:

  • Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.)
  • Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.)

Qualified aspirants can apply by submitting the prescribed application form along with the need procedures fee via DD. Selection of general aspirants will be done solely on the basis of their qualifying examination merit while the Agriculturist’s aspirants have a special quota and must appear for an entrance test to be organized by the university.

Application procedure for B.Sc, B.Tech at University of Agricultural Sciences, [UAS] Bangalore :

Stepwise Application procedure:

Step 4: students must fill the following details on the application form:
                            The student has to fill in their personal details.
                            The student has to fill details about their Educational background.
                            The student has to fill in details of the preferred course, etc.
Step 5: The filled application form should be submitted to the following address:

Step 6: The application form fee has to be paid through Demand Draft(DD) drawn in the name of The Comptroller, University of Agricultural Sciences, [UAS], Bengaluru.

B.Sc (Agriculture) & BE/B.Tech

  • The registration fee for General category students is Rs. 500/- whereas SC/ST/CAT-1 aspirants should pay Rs. 250/- along to complete the application procedure. The fee must be paid via demand draft (DD) drawn in the favor of “The Comptroller, UAS, GKVK, Bangalore”
  • Aspirants can register for Under Graduate programme by downloading the related application form available on the official university website. Finished applications, in all respects, must be submitted to the university office along with the registration fee


Selection Procedure

B.Sc (Agriculture) & BE/B.Tech

For B.Sc. courses:

  • Agriculturist’s quota students should appear for Practical Test consisting of 200 marks. courses:

    • Agriculturist’s quota students will appear in Practical Test consisting 200 marks. Weightage for selection will consist of 50% marks of the entrance test and 50% of marks obtained in PCB in 2nd year of PUC or 12th standard.
    • General Aspirants will be selected on basis of merit i.e. marks obtained in PCM in the 2nd year of PUC or 12th standard.

    For B.Tech. Weightage for selection will consist of 50% marks of the entrance test and 50% of marks obtained in PCB in the 2nd year of PUC or 12th standard.
  • General Aspirants will be selected on basis of merit i.e. marks obtained in PCB in the 2nd year of PUC or 12th standard.


Reservation Criteria

  • 12% of the available general seats are reserved for the Special Category which comprises:
  • 5% of the general seats are reserved for students who have studied 10 years from Kannada Medium.
  • 76.2% seats are given to general quota which will also comprise seats for aspirants belonging to SC, ST, and OBC category as notified by the Govt. of Karnataka.
  • 15% of the seats from general quota will be reserved for rural aspirants belonging to the state of Karnataka and located in the smaller urban area or transitional areas as mentioned by the state govt.
  • 23.8% of seats are reserved for Agriculturist and Children of Agriculturist. These students are the ones whose household income is drawn from agriculture.

  • Hostel accommodation is available on the First-cum-First serve basis.
  • Limited Financial Assistance shall be offered to required students from the Student’s Aid Fund on account of the low-income certificates submitted at the time of admission.
  • Merit Scholarship and Free Studentship is honored to students according to the University Regulations and orders from the Govt.
