Tumkur University, Karnataka offers post graduation courses in the field of arts, commerce, science and social work. For M.S.W. Classes for the course begin in the month of August. The admission for various programmes except M.S.W. is done via the OMNIBUS merit followed by the counseling procedure in the month of July. aspirant required to appear for an entrance test after passing which he required to go for the counseling session. Application forms can be obtained in person as well as via post by the payment of application fee. Counseling for arts, commerce, and science courses are done separately. Tumkur University PG Admission 2018 Eligibility Criteria

M.Com

Masters of commerce is a 3 year programme offered by the department of commerce, Tumkur University.

Aspirant having B.Com/B.B.M. SC/ST aspirants require 45% marks to apply for the course. or equivalent degree with at least 50% can apply for the course.

MBA/PGDM

Bachelor degree in any specialization with a minimum of 50% can apply for an MBA. SC/ST aspirants require 45% for this course.

Eligibility:

Graduation in any field with minimum 50% marks, SC/ST aspirants required to score 45% in graduation.

M.Ed

Aspirant having the bachelor degree in the relevant field can appear for the course.

Tumkur University PG Admission Procedure 2018

MBA/PGDM

Aspirant required to appear in the PGCET-MBA test for getting admission to MBA programme. This test is organized for both the Karnataka residents as well as for residents of other states too.

MA, M.Com & M.Sc

Selection of aspirants for various Post Graduate courses is done on the merit basis followed by counseling procedure. Merit and Counseling procedure will be organized in the month of July.  Documents to be shown at the time of counseling:

  1. Mark sheet of class X and XII.
  2. Mark sheets of all semesters of the qualifying exam.
  3. Provisional certificate of Qualifying degree
  4. Transfer certificate

NOTE: Those students who seek to do M.S.W. programme required to appear for an entrance test after which they required to go for counseling.

User facts:

  • If in any course there are less than 10 participants then the course is subjected to cancellation.
  • The counseling procedure for arts, commerce and science courses are done separately.
  • OMNIBUS MERIT list will be published on www.tumkuruniversity.com as well as on the notice board of the related departments.

Scholarships:

  • SC/ST category students whose family income is less than INR 2.5 lakh per annum, required not to pay any amount of fees. Their fees will be reimbursed by the Department of Social Welfare, Government of Karnataka.
  • If an aspirant belongs to a backward community and has a family income of less than INR 2.5 lakh then their tuition fee, library fee, sports fee and lab fee will be reimbursed by the Department of Backward Classes, Government of Karnataka.
