The main motive of the open learning courses provided by The Tamil Nadu Dr. Ambedkar Law University, School of Distance Education is to offer diverse knowledge in all fields concerned to law education so that students can use their expertise in every area whatever they are pursuing. All courses (One in corporate law, 12 in Post Graduate Diploma & one certificate) have been provided by Department of Distance Education under School of Excellence in Law (SOEL)

The admission procedure of TNDALU is very flexible with the fixed scheme of examination that is why students prefer this university for distance courses.

Eligibility Criteria for M.C.L & PG Diploma Program

Master of Comparative Law (M.C.L.) & Post Graduate Diploma in Law

  • Students must have passed any Graduate / Postgraduate degree via recognised university.
  • Students who have obtained Post Graduate degree under Open University System are also applicable. Those students who are studying any other course after graduation are also applicable to apply.

Certificate Programme in Documentation:

Students must have passed 10+2 or equivalent qualification from recognised board.

Application Procedure for M.C.L & PG Diploma Program

Master of Comparative Law (M.C.L.) & Post Graduate Diploma in Law

Students can obtain the application form via any of the two procedures given below:

In person:

  • Send the clearly filled application form along with relevant documents in person   to:
  • You can obtain the application form in person by visiting the Tamil Nadu Dr. Ambedkar Law University campus after payment of INR 500 (INR 250 for SC/ST) via Demand Draft drawn in favor of ‘The Registrar the Tamil Nadu Dr. Ambedkar Law University Payable at Chennai’ for Post Graduate Diploma courses.

  • Send the duly filled application form with relevant documents to:
  • To obtain the application form you required to send the requisition letter to the registrar with fees of INR 600 (INR 350 for SC/ST) via Demand Draft drawn in favor of ‘The Registrar the Tamil Nadu Dr. Ambedkar Law University Payable at Chennai’ for Post Graduate Diploma courses.

Note: 1. Fee payment via money order, cash, bank pay order, the cheque will not be accepted.  Application Fee needs to be paid via Challan only; Performa for the same can be downloaded from university’s website. B. (Depending upon which particular course you are going to apply)

  • Copies of SSC & HSC mark sheet along with Date of Birth certificate
  • Community certificate including SC/ST/Muslims & others
  • Special category certificate like children of Ex-Serviceman if eligible.
  • B honors/ Integrated LL. B degree/ LL.

    2. The separate application form needs to be filled if you seeking to apply for more than one course.

    Documents need to be enclosed along with the application form:

    • Provisional degree certificate of LL.

    Selection will be done on the basis of marks obtained in qualifying examination. The ranking list will be prepared by considering the marks obtained by a participant in each Diploma course.

    Note: Communal reservation will be followed in the selection procedure as prescribed by Tamil Nadu state.
