TMV [Tilak Maharashtra Vidhyapeeth]  is the Deemed University imparting professional/non-professional education, research, and training in various faculties viz Modern Sciences, Management, Education, Engineering, Health Science, Law, Ayurveda, Sanskrit, Social Science and Distance Education through 12 Board of Studies. Tilak Maharashtra Vidyapeeth is known at the national level for its unique identity for the realization of the ideals for imparting national education and igniting patriotic sentiments amongst the youths at the time of pre-independence era. The Vidyapeeth had the need structure right from its inception with all its constituents, namely, the Board of Management, the Academic Council, Planning and Monitoring Board, Faculties, Finance Committee etc. along with the Chancellor, Vice-Chancellor, and the Registrar as executive heads.

Tilak Maharashtra Vidyapeeth's Department of Distance Education has been p distance education courses since the turn of the new millennium. Affiliated via the UGC (University Grants Commission) and the Distance Education Council (DEC) offers 05 pg courses, 04 graduate courses, and 01 diploma course. The special features of Tilak Maharashtra Vidyapeeth Distance Education consist of personalized communication, technology-based procedures, self-instructional material and career guidance.


The university offers admission to the following PG degree programmes

  • M. Com (Master of Commerce)
  • MJ (Master of Journalism)
  • MCA(Master of Computer Application)
  • MBA(Master of Business administration)
  • MSW(Master of Social Works)
  • M.Ed.(Master of Education)

Only candidates with the relevant PG/Equivalent qualifying degree can register for the above-mentioned programmes. Seats are reserved for people belonging to different categories such as SC/ST/BC etc.

 Candidates can register for admission by filling in the application form Obtainable at university office/premises of the same and submitting the required processing fee, on or before the last date. Admission to the above PG Programmes is done on the basis of marks secured by the candidates in the qualifying degree examination/entrance examination.

Eligibility Criteria

MCA

  • The candidate is required to qualify the entrance test conducted by TMV with minimum 50% marks
  • Candidate should have a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from any recognized university/any other University considered as equivalent thereto.

 

MBA/PGDM

  • Candidate should have Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with minimum 55% marks(50% in case of reserved category) from any recognized university/any other University considered as equivalent thereto.
  • The candidate is required to qualify the entrance test conducted by TMV with minimum 50% marks/GDPI/MAT score.
  • Candidates opting for MBA( Ayurveda- Pharmacy/ Clinical Research) are considered eligible for admissions only if they have bachelor’s degree  with minimum 55% marks(50% in case of reserved category)  in the  fields which are given below:

MBA Ayurveda- Pharmacy:

Students must have passed BAMS/B.Pharm./equivalent.

MBA Clinical Research:

Students must have passed B.Sc., M.Sc., BPharm., M.Pharm., Ph.D., BDS, MBBS or MD

M.Com

Candidate should have a hold of Bachelor’s degree in Commerce with minimum 55% marks(50% in case of reserved category) from any recognized university/any other University considered as equivalent thereto.

Master of Social Work [MSW]

  • The candidate is required to qualify the entrance test conducted by TMV with minimum 50% marks followed by an interview.
  • Candidate should have a hold of any Bachelor’s degree with minimum 55% marks(50% in case of reserved category) from any recognized university/any other University considered as equivalent thereto.

 

M.Ed

Candidate should have a hold of Bachelors of Education (B.Ed.)/ B.Ed. –PE degree with minimum 55% marks (50% in case of reserved category) from any recognized university/any other University considered as equivalent thereto.

Master of Journalism and Mass Communication [MJMC]

Candidate should have a hold of Bachelor’s degree in any stream with minimum 55% marks(50% in case of reserved category) from any recognized university/any other University considered as equivalent thereto.

TMV Application Process

MCA, M.Com & MBA/PGDM

Candidates must apply for admission through the offline registration process and submit completed application. All fields in the application form should be correctly and completely filled-in with the relevant information.

  •  After filling the application form completely, it should be submitted to the university office along with the essential enclosures before the last date.
  • Candidates can obtain the application form along with prospectus from the university office or at any Premises of Vidyapeeth by submitting the required fees.

NOTE: The candidate should ensure that the downloaded/offline application form must have the recent color photograph of the candidate, signature of the candidate and left thumb impression (if required) of the candidate. Failing to do so will result in the rejection of the application form.

Enclosures:

  1. HSC/CBSE/other equivalent mark sheet   
  2. Transfer Certificate   
  3. Community Certificate (For OC candidates community certificate not required)   
  4. Certificates for Special categories, if required     
  5. Nativity Certificate if required     
  6. Graduate Certificate and Joint declaration form, if required
  7. Attested copy of Migration Certificate where necessary.
  8. Two copies of recent photographs.
  9. Copy of the result of the Entrance Examination.

Important Note: Entrance fee for PG courses: Rs. 500/-

TMV Admission Process

MCA, M.Com & MBA/PGDM

Candidates will be selected for the programme on the basis of their marks in the qualifying examination/entrance examination conducted by the University. of India

  • Japanese Scholarship for MA Japanese candidates
  • Hostel Facilities:

    The hostel is available for the students in each campus on the basis of merit.

    Selection for admission to M.S.W Degree course will be done through entrance followed by an interview.

    Scholarships Process:

    TMV endows the following scholarships to its deserving candidates:

    1. SC/ST Welfare and Backward Class Scholarships
    2. Scholarships are given by Govt.
