The Tamilnadu Dr. MGR Medical University (TNMGRMU) is a government medical university and is the 2nd largest health sciences university in India. The university has various departments which provide a multitude of medical courses at undergraduate (UG), postgraduate (PG) and doctoral level.

TNMGRMU provides different Under Graduate courses under the Allied Health Sciences stream via the related faculties available at the university. The university provides the following Under Graduate programmes to its students:

  • Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm.)

B.Sc (Nursing)

B.Sc. in Nursing (Basic)

The aspirant must pass in 10+2 with science (PCB) and English core/English elective with 45% aggregate marks from the recognized board under AISSCE/CBSE/ICSE/SSCE/HSCE or equivalent. Aspirant shall be medically fit

Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing

Eligibility: Aspirant must have passed in Higher Secondary or Senior Secondary/ Intermediate or 10+2 or an equivalent examination recognized by the University

Bachelor of Pharmacy [B.Pharm]

  • The aspirant must have finished 10+2 examination organized by state/central government as equivalent by AIU i.e. Association of Indian Universities with English as one of the subjects and Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/Biology as optional subjects individually
  • Those who have passed 10+2 from Open School education system of the Central Government/ State Government institutions are also qualified for admission to B.Pharm Degree Course

Bachelor of Physiotherapy [BPT]

Bachelor of Physiotherapy:

  • Aspirants must have studied physics, Chemistry and Biology/ Botany and Zoology in their 12 years study of Higher Secondary Course Examination
  • Aspirants who have passed the Senior Secondary School Examination of National Open School are also qualified offered such students have cleared a minimum of 5 subjects with any of the following group subjects:
  1. English, Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology.
  2. English, Physics, Chemistry Biology and any other language

Bachelor of Occupational Therapy:

Eligibility: Aspirant must have studied physics, Chemistry and Biology/ Botany and Zoology after 12 years study of Higher Secondary Course Examination

  • The aspirant must be medically fit

Medical Laboratory Technology:

Eligibility: Aspirant must have studied physics, Chemistry and Biology/ Botany and Zoology after 12 years study of Higher Secondary Course Examination.

Optometry Technology:

Eligibility:

  • The aspirant must have studied physics, Chemistry and Biology/ Botany and Zoology after years study of Higher Secondary Course Examination
  • The aspirant must pass in English with 35% compulsory marks for all categories

TNMGRMU B.Pharm & B.Sc Nursing Admission 2018 How to Apply?

Bachelor of Physiotherapy [BPT], Bachelor of Occupational Therapy & B.Pharm

For Indian aspirants:

  • The aspirant must submit the registration fee of Rs. 1200/- for application and eligibility certificate via online payment gateway for students. Medical University, Chennai.
  • The aspirant should be of Indian origin settled in foreign countries or should be born to parents of Indian origin in a foreign country. The application and eligibility certificate fee is non-refundable
  • Aspirants can fill the online application form available at the university website and submit it along with the need fee to complete the registration procedure

For NRI aspirants:

  • Aspirants who have passed advanced level qualification and central board examination in foreign countries can also submit application and eligibility fee amount of Rs. 10,100/- via Demand Draft (DD) in favor of The Registrar, Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Aspirant want admission under NRI quota must possess Indian passport
