SVIMS has been recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and the Medical Council of India (MCI) has granted permission and later recognition to start Post Graduate super-specialty (DM/MCh) courses in cardiology, neurology, nephrology, endocrinology, medical oncology, CT surgery, neurosurgery, urology, surgical oncology & surgical gastroenterology.
The University invites applications for the DM / MCh Programmes for the academic year 2018-19. The application procedure begins on May 18th, 2018. The admissions will be based on SVIMSPGSSET-2018 Entrance Test organizeed by the University on July 11th, 2018 for which the applications must be submitted by June 13th, 2018.

Eligibility Criteria:
You should have passed MD/MS/DNB examination from the Medical college/ Institutions recognised by MCI. In case you are waiting for the results, or unable to upload the pass certificate, you can mention “WFR” (Waiting for results) in the application offered you submit the pass certificate compulsorily on the day of counseling.
You should fill the Application Form online on the website.
Step 1: You should navigate to link “Apply On-line SVIMSPGSSET-2018”.
Step 2: After reading the Prospectus cautiously, you must click “Apply Online” and then click “Register” for opening Basic Registration Page.
Step 3: You must then create an account using a valid e-mail id, your name and Mobile Number. You should enter your full name as given in the MBBS degree certificate. The system will generate an application ID.
Step 4: You can then log in to the application using the application number and password which has been sent to your registered email id and registered mobile number by way of SMS offered during the registration procedure.
Step 5: Fee payment: You have to pay an amount of Rs.2500 plus taxes via online method Debit / Credit Card/ Internet Banking.
Step 6: You will then be directed to the Individual Details page. You should take a print out of the “application” for future reference.

Step 7: Photograph: You should upload a recent colour passport size photograph with a light background in the size not more than 500 kb in a .jpg/.jpeg pattern.
Step 8: Signature: You should then upload your signature which should be inserted in an area of 2” x 1” (inch) on white paper with a thick black ballpoint pen. The signature may be scanned, cropped and saved in 500 kb in a .jpg/.jpeg pattern.

Step 10: You should check if your application is finished in all aspects, and then only click “SUBMIT”. This will generate registration slip. You should also enter the qualification details as per the study from MBBS to Post Graduate degree (MD/MS/DNB), along with the work experience details if working in any institution/ medical college (Govt./ Pvt.).
You will be selected on the basis of SVIMSPGSSET-2018. The exam will be computer-based and shall be organizeed by Sri Venkateswara Institute of Medical Sciences, Tirupati.
There will be a separate question paper each subject will consist of 100 multiple choice questions in the speciality related. The period of the exam is 90 minutes. There is no negative marking for an inaccurate answer.
Each response with accurate answer shall be honoured one mark. All the questions will be of one best/ accurate answer type having four alternatives.
The statutory reservations will be eligible to the aspirants of the Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Backward classes belonging to the State of Andhra Pradesh only.
