There are different courses offered by the Shivaji University in various specialisations which requires bachelor’s degree in the same field. Centre for admission test is in Kolhapur, Satara and Sangli, allocation of the centre is subjected to availability. A state level entrance test will be held for the MBA programme. Application to these programmes is to be made in online method only and there is also a provision of late submission of form along with a late fine of INR 100and INR 500 as super late fine. Admission to MBA programme is made on the basis of MAH-MBA/MMS CET 2018 application for which is to be made online. Once the results are released, aspirants can file discrepancies if any to the University and after resolving that a final merit list will be announced by the University which will be considered for further admission procedure. MCA, MSW and M.Sc. programmes offered by the University have a period of 2 years for which application forms are available in the month of April and has entrance test on various dates for MCA and M.Sc. respectively. If there are less than 10 aspirants in a centre then, such examination centre will be cancelled and another centre will be allotted to aspirants.

Eligibilty for SU (Shivaji University) MBA, MCA and M. Sc Admission 2018


Aspirants need to have graduated in any branch with minimum 50% or equivalent CGPA (45% for reserved category aspirants).

Duration: 2 years


Those aspirants who have done graduation with minimum 50% marks are applicable for the MCA programme.

Aspirants need to have passed 10+2 with minimum one subject as Mathematics. Age of aspirants should not be above 28 as on 30th June to be applicable to the programme.


For M.Sc. programme aspirants need to have finished B.Sc. from a recognized University in a relevant subject.

How To Apply for SU (Shivaji University) MBA, MCA and M. Sc Admission 2018


  • Aspirants need to fill the application form on website Application form is available online only.
  • Signature of aspirants to be uploaded has to be made on a white sheet with black ink
  • Size of signature should be of 10 to 20 Kb
  • Size of photograph needs to be of 20 to 50 Kb
After the successful submission of the application fee, a receipt will be generated and aspirants need to take the print out of same. The application form is INR 1000 for general category and INR 800 for reserved category aspirants.

  • Aspirants need to upload a recent photograph against a white background. Aspirants need to save the registration number and password for further use.
  • Payment for application form will be made by credit card/debit card/Net banking. Entrance examination fee for each subject is INR 200 which is to be submitted in form of a Demand Draft drawn in favour of Finance and Accounts Officer, Shivaji University, Kolhapur.
  • Aspirants can also avail the copy of course directory by paying a sum of INR 100 to the University in form of cash or Demand Draft drawn in favour of Finance and Accounts Officer, Shivaji University, Kolhapur.
  • The application form along with the Demand Draft is to be submitted to the related department either by post/courier or by a person.

NOTE: If course directory is demanded via post then a sum of INR 30 extra is to be paid by the aspirants.

  • If aspirants seeking to apply for more than one course, than they need to fill various application forms.
  • There is also a provision to accepted application form with a super late fee of INR 500.
  • If there are less than 10 aspirants allotted to an examination centre then that centre is subjected to cancellation and information regarding this will be made available on the University website.
  • Applications are accepted after the last date of submission with a late fee of INR 100.

Admission Procedure for SU (Shivaji University) MBA, MCA and M. Sc Admission 2018


  • Admissions are made on the basis of entrance test organizeed by the University. The period for the test is 90 minutes consisting 100 multiple choice questions. For MBA and MCA programmes question paper will be of 150 marks and 90 minutes.
  • MAH-MBA/MMS-CET is an online test of 200 marks and the period for the test is 150 minutes.
  • Once the merit list is announced by the University aspirants can apply for scrutinising the result, once the discrepancies (if any) is resolved by the University then a final merit list will be announced and admissions are to made on that basis only.   • Centre for entrance test can be allotted in Kolhapur, Satara and Sangli. Aspirants can select the test centre according to their convenience and the allocation of same depends upon the availability.

NOTE: Aspirants need to appear the test centre along with the admit card and a valid ID proof.


Apart from the various schemes for scholarships offered by the government authorities, University has their own provision to offer a scholarship to deserving aspirants. 

University announces about 500 scholarships of INR 5000 and INR 10000 which is given to deserving aspirants enrolled with the University under the scheme of Shivaji University Merit Scholarship Scheme (SUMS).

50% weightage to both aspects will be given for preparing merit list. The total marks for the test are 100 and a merit list will be prepared on the basis of performance of aspirants in the test as well as qualifying exams.


  • For selection to MBA programme, aspirants need to appear for a state level common entrance test. Those aspirants who have got selected need to appear in the related department along with the course fee to confirm their admission. 

User facts:

  • Aspirants need to appear with a valid ID proof along with the hall ticket to the examination centre, failing which aspirants will not be allowed to appear in the exam.
  • Responses in the OMR sheet is to be made by black ball point pen only.
  • Merit list will be prepared on the basis of performance of aspirants in the entrance test and qualifying exam.
