Shivaji Universityhas various options for those students who seek to pursue their undergraduate programme from the University. Selection for BJMC and B.Lib is made on the basis of an entrance test whereas selection for BA and B.Com. are made on the basis of performance in the qualifying exam. Whereas, B.Lib course takes only one year for completion and requires aspirants to have been successfully finished their graduation in any stream from a recognized University. Apart from the government regulations, the university also has the provision to offer a scholarship to the deserving aspirant's Aspirants can also avail the course directory on payment of INR 30 to the University. University offers BA, B.Com and BJMC courses which require 3 years for completion and can be done by those aspirants who have finished their 10+2 in commerce or arts stream. BA and B.Com have various specialisations, giving wide career aspects to aspirants after the successful completion of the programme. The procedure for applying to these programmes is same which require aspirants to fill the application form online on the University website and send the hard copy along with a Demand Draft and need documents to the University by person or post.

How To Apply for SU (Shivaji University) Kolhapur UG Admission 2018?
Bachelor of Journalism and Mass Communication [B.J.M.C.], BA & B.Com
Aspirants can also avail the copy of course directory by paying a sum of INR 100 to the University in form of cash or Demand Draft drawn in favour of Finance and Accounts Officer, Shivaji University, Kolhapur.
Aspirants need to fill the application form on www.onlineshivajiuniversity.in. The application form is available online only. Entrance examination fee for each subject is INR 200 which is to be submitted in form of a Demand Draft drawn in favour of Finance and Accounts Officer, Shivaji University, Kolhapur.
The application form along with the Demand Draft is to be submitted to the related department either by post/courier or by a person.
NOTE: If course directory is demanded via post then a sum of INR 30 extra is to be paid by the aspirants.

There is also a provision to accepted application form with a super late fee of INR 500.
Applications are accepted after the last date of submission with a late fee of INR 100.
If there are less than 10 aspirants allotted to an examination centre then that centre is subjected to cancellation and information regarding this will be made available on the University website.
Admission Procedure for SU (Shivaji University) Kolhapur UG Admission 2018
Bachelor of Library and Information Science [B.Lib], Bachelor of Journalism and Mass Communication [B.J.M.C.] & BA
Those aspirants who have got selected need to appear in the related department along with the course fee to confirm their admission.
Centre for entrance test can be allotted in Kolhapur, Satara and Sangli. Aspirants can select the test centre according to their convenience and the allocation of same depends upon the availability.
Once the merit list is announced by the University aspirants can apply for scrutinising the result, once the discrepancies (if any) is resolved by the University then a final merit list will be announced and admissions are to made on that basis only.
Admissions are made on the basis of entrance test organizeed by the University. University announces about 500 scholarships of INR 5000 and INR 10000 which is given to deserving aspirants enrolled with the University under the scheme of Shivaji University Merit Scholarship Scheme (SUMS).
50% share to both will be given for preparing merit list. The total marks for the test are 100 and a merit list will be prepared on the basis of performance of aspirants in the test as well as qualifying exams.

Aspirants need to appear with a valid ID proof along with the hall ticket to the examination centre, failing which aspirants will not be allowed to appear in the exam.

For BA and B.Com
Admission to BA and B.Com courses is made on the basis of performance of aspirants in the qualifying exams. Application procedure for these courses is similar to other courses provideed by the Shivaji University. The period for the test is 90 minutes consisting 100 multiple choice questions. A merit list will be prepared for admission considering the performance of aspirants in the qualifying exams.
NOTE:
The entrance examination for BJMC and B.Lib is done via OFFLINE mode.
Scholarships:
Apart from the various schemes for scholarships offered by the government authorities, University has their own provision to offer a scholarship to deserving aspirants.
