Shanmugha Arts, Science, Technology & Research Academy, known as SASTRA University, is a deemed university which provides undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) courses in different streams such as Engineering, Science, Education, Management and Arts.

The School of Law at SASTRA University offers 3 distinct law programmes at the undergraduate level. Admissions to the 5-year Integrated law programmes is done via marks secured by the aspirant in the entrance exam (CLAT 2018) and the aggregate marks of 10+2 examinations, following which the aspirants are called for counseling.

The university offers the following law programmes at the undergraduate level:

  • B.Com, LL.B (Hons.)
  • B.A., LL.B (Hons.)
  • B.B.A., LL.B (Hons.)

Aspirants who satisfy the eligibility can register themselves via online application procedure, submit the registration fee and appear for CLAT 2018.

    Eligibility Criteria for SU (Sastra University) Law Admissions 2018

    Bachelor of Arts + Bachelor of Laws [B.A.L.L.B.] {Hons} , Bachelor of Commerce + Bachelor of Laws [BCom L.L.B.] {Hons.} & Bachelor of Business Administration [BBA] + Bachelor of Laws [L.L.B.] {Hons.}

    For admissions to the Five-year Integrated law programmes, one should satisfy the following criteria:

    • The aspirant should not be more than 19 years old as on July 1, 2017.
    • The aspirant should have passed 10+2 with a central/state board of examination with at least 50% aggregate recognised by the branch of study of SASTRA University
    • English should be a compulsory subject in 10+2 examinations.


    How to Apply for SU (Sastra University) Law Admissions 2018?

    • Aspirants should also submit the registration fee of INR 650 via online method of payment through debit/credit cards
    • Aspirants can fill the online application form with the relevant details along with the photograph and signature within the size limits as permitted by the University
    • The fee can also be submitted via demand draft (DD). For this, a DD of INR 650 has to be sent in favour of SASTRA, along with the print out of the form duly filled.


    Admission Procedure of SU (Sastra University) Law Admissions 2018

    The students will be selected purely on the basis of CLAT 2018 scores and the aggregate of 10+2 marks as per the following weightage:

    • 10+2 examination marks – 75%
    • CLAT 2018 marks – 25%

    The university will generate a list of the selected aspirants and intimate them for counseling session.


    Important Notes for SU (Sastra University) Law Admissions 2018

    At the time of the counseling session, students should bring the following documents with them:

    1. Marksheets of 10 and 10+2
    2. Passing Certificate of 10+2
    3. Provisional Certificate
    4. Migration Certificate
    5. CLAT Score Card

    At the time of final admission, students should submit the following original documents:

    1. Marksheets of 10 and 10+2

    Hostel Facilities: 14 hostels are offered by the university to boys and girls and messes are run on a dividing system
