Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Learning (SSSIHL) is a deemed-to-be University established by Sri Sathya Sai Baba. The university is based on the gurukul system of ancient India wherein education is offered free from kindergarten to post-graduation. The Sri Sathya Sai University in Prashanthi Nilayam was the only college in India in the past to have received an "A++" rating by the NAAC.

SSSIHL offers free education to students in all programmes of study. The university hosts over 1300 undergraduate, postgraduate and professional programme students across four campuses. This comprises waiver of all fees- tuition, examinations, laboratory, library, sports and medical. It requires the students to be compulsorily resident at the hostel during the entire duration of the study. Therefore, only single (bachelor/maiden) students will be admitted.

The Institute invites applications for admission to the undergraduate programmes for the academic year 2016-17. The application can be availed both online and in person and must be submitted by March 10th, 2018. The programmes are for a period of three years.

Eligibility Criteria for SSSIHL UG Admissions 2018

B.Sc, B.Com & BA

For all courses:

You should have either passed or appeared for the final examination at the 10+2 level from a recognised board (CBSE or equivalent). The rest of the courses are available to all.

Age: You should be below 19 years as of 31st May, 2018.

B.Sc. (Hons.) Programme

  • Mathematics/Physics/Chemistry
  • Mathematics/Economy/Statistics
  • Biosciences/Chemistry
You should have also secured an at least of 55% marks or more in English and 60% marks in aggregate including English.

However, the B.Sc. (Food and Nutritional Sciences) programme is limited to Women aspirants only, and the B.Sc. (Hons.) Mathematics/Economy/Statistics and Integrated MCA Programme are limited to Male aspirants only.

How To Apply

B.Sc, B.Com & BA

You can reach the Application Form in the following two modes:

  • Online: You can get it through the online application portal on the website
  • Postal/In Person: You can get a paper application form posted to you by the University, or obtain it yours.

For Online Application:

You should log on to the Instituteโ€™s website.

You should then click on the link for online application, and you will be guided step-by-step on how to fill in the form.

You must have an email id to log-in. You should then fill the Form with the need individual and educational details.

You should then submit the Application Form. Once finished, you will be able to view the filled-in application form in PDF pattern and save it on your computer.

You should take a print out of the Application Form.

For Paper Application (By Hand):

You must send a written request comprising of a Requisition Letter indicating the Programme you would like to apply for and a Demand Draft or Indian Postal Order of Rs. 100 drawn in favor of Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Learning, payable at SBI, Prasanthi Nilayam/Puttaparthi. Then, seal them in an A4-sized envelope.

If you have chosen to pay online, you should print and attach a copy of the electronic receipt. You must also affix a recent passport size photograph.

For both the Modes of Submission:-

Enclosures: You should attach the following documents to your Application form:

  • Two additional passport size photographs (with name and Application number on the reverse of the photograph)
  • Self-attested copies of Degree Certificate and mark sheet
  • Self-attested copies of Class 12th mark sheet
  • Attested copies of Class 10th and 12th Certificates

You should then staple the filled application form with all supporting materials. 

Otherwise, send an Indian Postal Order (IPO) or Demand Draft (DD) for Rs.100/- per application. The Bank draft should be drawn in favor of Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Learning, payable at SBI, Prasanthi Nilayam/Puttaparthi.

You must then send the duly signed Application Form along with the need documents to the following address:-

SSSIHL UG Admissions 2018 Admission Procedure

B.Sc, B.Com & BA

For all courses:

You will be selected on the basis of an Admission Test. There will be proportionate negative marking.

For B.Ed. Programme:

The test will consist of 2 papers. The test will be 100 minutes period and for 100 marks (50+50).

The question paper will be of Multiple Choice types. The admission test syllabus is based on the 11th and 12th standard of CBSE. The first paper will be based on General English and Aptitude Test.

Paper 1: This will consist of two sub-tests of 80 minutes period and for 65 marks. The Situation Analysis part is for 35 marks to be finished in 40 minutes.  

Paper 2: This test will consist of two papers on the core subjects studied in the qualifying degree. The General English will be for 30 marks to be finished in 40 minutes.

SSSIHL UG Admissions 2018 Reservation

The reservation criteria will be as per the norms prescribed by the Government of Andhra Pradesh.
