Sri Ramaswamy Memorial (SRM) University Chennai, India’s no. Students may obtain admissions via SRMEE 2018 in degree, diploma & certificate courses at Under Graduate & Post Graduate level provided under Department of Medicine & Health Science of SRM University. 1 university as ranked by India Today & Times of India in the year 2014 & 2013 respectively.

Most of the medical courses including dual degree course in MBA-MPH (50 seats) has been offered at SRM University Kattankulathur campus. Aspiring students can apply in any of the methods online or offline. Last year total 163,678 students have applied for SRMEE. The score of SRMEE is the only key to obtain the seat in SRM University. Students will be called for counseling after preparation of merit list.

Eligibility Criteria for B.Pharm., MBBS & BDS Programs

BDS & MBBS

Students looking for admission in any of the campus of SRM University namely Kattankulathur, Vadapalani, Ramapuram, Delhi-NCR or Sonepat can check the eligibility criteria with respect to the various courses available as given below:

Provided at Kattankulathur Campus:

  • Bachelor of Medicine & Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS)

Duration: 4 ½ years & internship of 1 year

  • Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS)

Duration: 4 years & internship of 1 year

Qualification:

  • Students who have passed 10+2 with Biotechnology in place of Zoology will also be considered.
  • Students belong to SC/ST categories will require 40% marks.
  • Students must have passed 10+2 standard with English, Physics, Chemistry & Biology or Botany & Zoology with not less than 50% marks in aggregate for General category.
  • The student should be medically fit.
  • The student should have obtained the age of 17 years as on December 31, 2016 (tentative).

Bachelor of Physiotherapy [BPT], Bachelor of Science [B.Sc] (Nursing) & Bachelor of Occupational Therapy

  • B. Sc. Nursing

Duration: 4 years

  • Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT)

Duration: 4 years & internship of 6 months

  • Bachelor of Occupational Therapy (BOT)

Duration: 4 years & internship of 6 months

Qualification: Students must have passed 10+2 standard with English, Physics, Chemistry & Biology or Botany & Zoology with not less than 60% marks in aggregate for science group.

B.Pharm

  • Bachelor of Pharmacy  (B. Pharma.)

Duration: 4 years

Qualification: Students must have passed 10+2 standard with English, Physics, Chemistry & Biology or Botany & Zoology & Mathematics with not less than 60% marks in aggregate for science group.

Bachelor in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology [BASLP]

  • Bachelor of Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology (BASLP)

Duration: 4 years

Qualification: 10+2 or equivalent qualification with English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology (or) Botany and Zoology with at least aggregate of 60%.

Bachelor of Science [B.Sc] (Medical Imaging Technology) & Bachelor of Science [B.Sc] (Renal Dialysis Technology)

Duration: 3 years & internship of 1 year

Qualification: 10+2 or equivalent in English, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology with at least aggregate of 60%.

Bachelor of Optometry [B.Optom]

Duration: 3 years & internship of 1 year

Qualification: Students must have passed 10+2 standard with Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry & Biology with not less than 60% marks in aggregate.

Bachelor of Science [B.Sc] (Medical Laboratory Technology)

Duration: 3 years & internship of 1 year

Eligibility: 10+2 with at least aggregate of 60%, Aspirants with DMLT can be admitted in Second year under the lateral entry.

Post Basic Bachelor of Science [P.B.B.Sc] (Nursing)

Duration: 2 years

Qualification: Diploma in Nursing, Registered his/her name with any State Nursing Council and put in at least of 1 year of Nursing service in any recognised Hospital or educational institution or as a full-time Public Health Nurse.

Bachelor of Medical Records Sciences [BMRS]

Duration: 2 years

Qualification: Students must have passed any graduate degree from a recognised university.

M.Sc (Nursing)

Qualification: Students must have passed HSC / 10+2 or equivalent qualification with Physics and Chemistry as mandatory subjects along with any one of Mathematics or Biology. A pass in D. Pharm from an institution approved by the Pharmacy Council of India as equivalent to any of the above examinations offered that a student should be 17 years of age on or before 31st December of the year of admission to the course.

Pharm.D (Post Baccalaureate)

Duration: 3 years

Qualification: Students must have passed Bachelor of Pharmacy (B. Pharms)

Master of Business Administration [MBA] (Pharma. Technology)

Duration: 2 years

Qualification: Pass in B. V. Sc. V. Sc. / MBBS / MD with 60% in aggregate or 6.75 CGPA on a 10 point scale Pharm / B.

Master of Administration [MBA]-Master of Public Health [MPH]

Duration: 3 years

Qualification: Graduates with a pass in Medicine, Engineering, Pharmacy, Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Dentistry, Veterinary Sciences. Arts or Science Graduates with 55% marks.

Note: MBA-MPH is the dual degree course.

Master of Public Health [MPH]

Duration: 2 years

Duration: 2 years

Qualification: M.A / M. Sc. in Psychology (or in counselling Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Applied Psychology) from the UGC recognised University

MHA

Provided at Vadapalani campus:

Duration: 2 years

Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree from any Statutory University in General Nursing & Midwifery (GNM) after HSC organized by Nursing Council of any state with one year experience after passing GNM course

            Shortlisted students will be called for Counseling on the basis of score of SRM Medical Entrance Test.

            Selected students have to submit the Demand draft of INR 100,000 drawn in favor of ‘SRMIST’ payable at Chennai.

            Students will be shortlisted on the basis Medical Entrance Test organized by SRM University at all India level.

            Final seat allocation will depend on verification of below mentioned documents:

            • Category certificate (if eligible)
            • Counseling call letter
            • Marks sheet of HSC & SSC
            • Demand draft of INR 100,000 (Later on it will be added to the tuition fee)

            If course content of 10+2 standard is not recognised by national committee then students have to undergo the pre-professional training of one year period before joining the course.

            Students going to appear for 10’+2 examination in the month of March or April are applicable to apply.
