Sri Venkateswara Veterinary University (SVVU) was founded by the Government of Andhra Pradesh under an Act in 2005. It was started in 1995 to strengthen education research and services in the fields of Veterinary Science, Dairy Technology and Fishery Science in the State of Andhra Pradesh. The founding of three Veterinary Colleges paved the way for strengthening Veterinary education in the State. The University is recognized by UGC. It is situated at the foothills of Lord Venkateswara at Tirupati.
The University invites applications for admission to the Post-graduate programmes of Master of Veterinary Sciences (M.V.Sc.) and Master of Technology (M.Tech.), in different specializations. Both the programmes are for a period of 2 years.

Eligibility Criteria:
You should have a B.V.Sc. & AH Degree with a minimum OGPA of 6 for general category and 5 for SC/ST/PH category, out of a score of 10 for general category; or 2.50 and 2.00 respectively out of a score of 4, or 60% marks and 55% marks respectively in the traditional system.
Age: You should not be more than 40 years of age as on July 1st.
ME/M.Tech
Eligibility Criteria:
You should have a B.Tech. Degree in Dairying/Dairy Technology or a B.Sc. Degree in Dairy Technology of 4 years period provided by an Agricultural University or NDRI.
The University provides the M.Tech. You must have also secured a minimum OGPA of 6 for general category and 5 for SC/ST/PH category, out of a score of 10 for general category; or 2.50 and 2.00 respectively out of a score of 4, or 60% marks and 55% marks respectively in the traditional system.
Age: You should not be more than 40 years of age as on July 1st.
You should download the Application form from the University website.
You should take a print out of the Form. You must then fill the Application Form with the need for personal and educational details in your own handwriting.
You must also affix a recent passport size colored photograph in the space offered.
Application Fee: You should pay the fee of Rs. 800 in case of general category and Rs. 400 in case of SC/ST/PH drawn on any nationalized bank favoring Comptroller, SVVU, payable at Tirupati.

You will be selected on the basis of the following weightage:-
The Entrance Test shall be extensive covering all relevant subjects prescribed for the related Bachelorโs degree requirements. Each question will have four options and one accurate response.
You will have to score a minimum of 40% marks in case you belong to the general category. The paper will contain 200 multiple choice type questions. However, this weightage will be relaxed by a maximum of 5 marks on production of certificates for achievement in NCC/NSS/Sports/Games/Culture/Literary activities at International level (3 marks), National level (2 marks) or Inter-University level (1 mark).
There is no minimum prescribed score for SC/ST/PH category.Sri Venkateswara Veterinary University Fee Structure
All the seats will be reserved for aspirants from Andhra Pradesh only, except for those from ICAR quota.
Reservation for Local & Non-Local Aspirants: Reservation of seats for Aspirants belonging to different local areas of the state shall be as per rules
Reservation for S.C, S.T and B.C. Aspirants:15%, 6% and 29% of the seats in each course of study shall be reserved for the Aspirants belonging to Schedule Cast, Schedule Tribe, and Other Backward Classes respectively as per the existing Government rules
Physically challenged Aspirants: 3% seats are reserved for physically challenged Aspirants as per the Government norms
Reservation for women: 1/3rd of the total seats shall be reserved for women. If no female Aspirants is available it will be filled up by a male. A combined roster will be maintained
