The aspirant should have passed B.E or B.Tech Examination or an equivalent qualifying examination from a recognized University and he/she should have obtained the minimum aggregate of 50%(45% for SC/ST aspirants) marks taken together in all the subjects in all the years.MCA
You should have passed any recognized undergraduate examination or equivalent examination with Mathematics or Statistics or Computer Science or Computer Applications or Computer Programming or Business Mathematics or Business Statistics as one of the optional subjects and have obtained an aggregate minimum of 50% marks taken together in all the subjects in all the years of the Degree Examination. There is a requirement of 45% of the aggregate marks in case of SC, ST, and Category-I of Karnataka aspirants.
For lateral entry to the MCA programme, a aspirant who has passed recognized Bachelor’s Degree of minimum of 3 years period examination in BCA, B.Sc (I.T. / Computer Science) with Mathematics at 10 + 2 level or at Graduate Level and obtained an aggregate minimum of 50% marks taken together in all the subjects in all the years of the Degree Examination is qualified for admission to MCA courses (45% of marks in qualifying examination in case of SC, ST and Category-I of Karnataka aspirants).
The very basic requirement for any Aspirants want admission into the institution is that he/she would have qualified the eligibility criteria set by the institution and the concerned entrance exam board.
After this, once the Aspirants appear for the entrance test in their desired subject and attain a certain score they will be allotted a rank based on their merit. The Aspirants have to go through the concerned counseling procedure and if allocated a seat in the institution, the Aspirants are expected to lock in or report back to the institution respectively.
The Aspirants may also attain an admission into the institution by the institute quota (management quota) if any seats remain unallocated.
The following are the step by step mode of filling in the application form of the University:
Step 1: You should enter all the valid details in the online form that is available on the official website of KEA under the PGCET form. Aspirants of Karnataka will have to pay an amount of Rs. 650, in case of General Category students and an amount of Rs. 500 for SC/ST category students for each course applied for. The signatures of the Principal and seal should be put on the form from their former university of undergrad.
It is necessary for the aspirant to remember that he/she shall retain a copy of the bank challan and also the password and id that is offered to them.The bank will retain its own copy and return the rest two copies to the aspirant.
Step 2: The aspirants need to upload their recent passport photograph in the JPEG pattern.
Step 3: Download the form and take a print of the challan that has three parts to it.
Step 4: The aspirants are then supposed to take a print out of the application form on an A-4 size sheet. The aspirant is supposed to pay the requisite amount in any of the specified disciplines of the specified banks. They should then affix the passport size photographs, signature, left-hand thumb impression on the given space. After the aspirant has finished filling in the information, a login id and password is generated for the aspirants to have reached to their application forms.
The selection of the aspirants depends on the rank and merit that they score in the PG Common Entrance Test that is organized by the Karnataka Examinations Authority. and M.C.Programmes. The exam would be necessary to become qualified to apply for the M.Tech.
The aspirants who have valid scores in GATE will have to necessarily apply to the online application to become qualified to apply to these courses but they do not require to appear for the PG Common Entrance Test, i.e. the PGCET.
