Solapur University BBA, BCA and B.Sc (ECS) Admission 2018

Solapur University offers admission to BBA, BCA, and B.Sc. (ECS) programmes for which a common entrance test (CET) is organized by the University. Aspirants can fill the application form available in the month of May and have to appear for an entrance test organized in June. A merit list will be announced by the university for shortlisted students on the basis of which a centralized admission procedure (CAP) will be organised for admission to various colleges. 80% seats in each college are to be filled via CAP and rest 20% by college itself. If any seats remain vacant in CAP procedure, they will be filed by college itself.

Aspirants are supposed to fill their preference for college in the application form itself, which cannot be changed during the admission procedure. After completing the CAP process, aspirants are supposed to visit the respective college and confirm their admission by submitting the relevant documents and fee.

Eligibility Criteria

BBA/BBM

Duration: 3 years

Eligibility:

  • Those aspirants who have done 3 year’s diploma after 12th standard are also qualified for BBA programme.
  • Those aspirants who have done 10+2 in any stream are qualified for the BBA programme.
  • Aspirants who have done 2 year’s diploma after 10th standard are also qualified for the programme.

BCA

Duration: 3 years

Eligibility:

Aspirants need to have done 10+2 from any stream to be qualified for the BCA programme.

Bachelor of Science [B.Sc] (Computer Science)

B.Sc. (Entire Computer Science)

Duration: 3 years

Eligibility: Aspirants need to have done 10+2 from any stream to become qualified for the B.Sc. (ECS) programme.

Application Procedure

B.Sc , BCA & BBA/BBM

Application for BCA, BBA, and B.Sc. (ECS) programmes can be made online via the University website. Their aspirants need to enter the details asked in the application form which comprises their name, address, qualification and other details.

The fee for application form is INR 200 which has to be paid via a bank challan, payment can be made to any discipline of State Bank of India. The bank challan will be displayed on the screen once the aspirants enter their complete details in the application form.

NOTE:

  • Those aspirants, who seek to apply for more than one course, need to submit the separate application form.
  • The fee for application form is non-refundable.

User fact: Aspirants can make a maximum of 3 preferences for college in the application form which will be considered during Centralised Admission Procedure (CAP).

Documents to be uploaded while filling the application form:

  • 10th standard marks sheet
  • Caste certificate (if applicable)
  • 12th standard/ Diploma marks sheet

Aspirants should upload an attested copy of the above-mentioned documents.

Admission Procedure

B.Sc , BCA & BBA/BBM

A common entrance test is organized by the Solapur University for admission to BBA, BCA, and B.Sc. (ECS) programmes.

For BBA and BCA:

The period for question paper will be of 120 minutes which will consist of 100 multiple choice questions. If aspirants will fail to do so then, their admission will be canceled and that seat will be considered as vacant.

For B.Sc. (ECS):

The period for question paper will be of 60 minutes which will consist of 50 multiple choice questions. A centralized admission procedure (CAP) will be organized for allocation of college to the eligible aspirants. 

  • There will be no negative marks for any wrong answer.
  • There will be separate question paper for each course.
  • On the basis of performance of aspirants in the entrance test, a merit list will be released. A centralised admission process (CAP) will be conducted for allotment of college to the qualified aspirants

    Tie-break rule:

    In case, if two aspirants score same marks in the entrance test then, the aspirant who has scored more marks in HSC will be given preference. The aspirant who is senior will be given preference. If there is a tie in HSC scores also then, the marks scored in ‘English’ subject will be considered to break the tie. If still there is a situation of the tie then, date of birth of the student will be considered. The candidate who is senior will be given preference.

    NOTE:

    80% seats in each college are reserved for admission via CAP and admission on other 20% seats will be done by the college itself.

    • The final list of admitted aspirants will be displayed on the University website and aspirants are need to visit the relevant college along with registration fee and documents to confirm their admission. If still there is a situation of the tie then, date of birth of the student will be considered. Aspirants will be honored with two marks for each accurate response.

    How to check Solapur University Result 2018

    • Visit official website of Solapur University, Solapur click on “Direct Link to Check Under Graduate & Post Graduate Courses Regular & Private Result”
    • On the board result portal, click on Under Graduate & Post Graduate Result & then select (BA, BSC, BCOM, B.Tech., BBA, BCA) & MCOM following part result
    • Choose result method between Name Wise and Roll number wise
    • For Roll number wise result – enter your roll number and click on get result button
    • For Name Wise Result – Enter your name and father’s name (at least 3 letters of each name) & click on get the result.
    • Then print your result and take a print out to use as duplicate Solapur University (Regular & Private) mark sheet
