SDNT Shreemati Nathibai Damodar Thackersey Women's University was founded in 1916 for the noble cause of women’s education. It is the first women’s university in India as well as in south-east Asia. University is committed to cause of women’s empowerment via relevant courses in formal and nonformal streams.

University provides different courses having course level postgraduate (PG); programmes in these course levels are discussed as following in different branches:

Postgraduate course:

  • M.Tech (in 2 branches)
  • M.Pharm (in 3 branches)
  • MCA
  • M.Sc (in 3 branches)
  • M.B.A
  • M.Ed

Admission to the abovementioned courses like M.Ed, M.B.A/, M.C.A, M.Tech and M.Pharm are done on the basis of marks secured in MHT-CET entrance test.

Admission to the abovementioned other courses like M.Sc nursing is on the basis of merit in the qualifying examination.

Admission Eligibility
M.Ed

The aspirant must pass in courses like B.Ed, B.A.B.Ed/ B.Sc B.Ed, B.EI.Ed, D.EI.Ed with an undergraduate degree with 50% of marks and aspirant must pass in CET of GOM.

Master of Business Administration [MBA] (Retail Management)

The aspirant must be Graduate in any branch with 50% of marks for open category and 45% of marks for the reserved category from an Indian University recognized by AIU written test, group discussion and personal interview organized by JDBIMS or having valid score of a national test.

Master of Science [M.Sc] (Nursing)

The aspirant must possess a degree in B.Sc. Nursing or Pc. B.Sc. Nursing and must be having migration certificate from the university.

Master of Science [M.Sc] (Analytical Chemistry)

The aspirant must pass B.Sc degree with 5 units of 4 credits each or 32 credits of chemistry.

Master of Science [M.Sc] (Computer Science)

  • An aspirant must pass mathematics at +2 levels or must study at graduation level.
  • The aspirant must be science graduate in BSc. (Maths.), BSc (Elect.), BSc.(IT), B.Sc.(CS) or BCA or any engineering graduate in allied subject from a recognized university with not less than 50% of marks for open category and 45% for reserved category.
(Physics), BSc.

Master of Computer Applications [M.C.A]

The aspirant can get admission according to MAH-MCA-CET score as per DTE norms.

Master of Technology [M.Tech] (Electronics and Communication Engineering)

  • Aspirant must possess degree in B.E./B.Tech.in Electronics/ Electronics and Communication /Electronics and Telecommunication/Electronics and Instrumentation.
  • The aspirant must possess 4 years degree in Engineering/Technology from AICTE approved institute.

Master of Technology [M.Tech] (Computer Science & Technology)

  • Aspirant must possess degree in B.E./B.Tech.in Electronics/ Electronics and Communication /Electronics and Telecommunication/Electronics and Instrumentation.
  • The aspirant must possess 4 years degree in Engineering/Technology from AICTE approved institute and marks of GATE/CET are considered.

Master of Pharmacy [M.Pharm] (Pharmaceutics)

  1. Herbal drug technology
  2. Quality assurance
  3. Pharmaceutics

All the 3 courses mentioned above under M.Phram must have same following eligibility criteria:

Eligibility

  • The aspirant must be an Indian national and must possess bachelor’s degree pharmacy from AICTE approved institute with at least 50% of marks and 45% of marks in case of SC/ST category and the person with disability belong to Maharashtra State.
  • The aspirant must eligible GPAT 2015 All India Rank /Total Score.
  • The aspirant should have non zero scores in MAH-MPH-CET 2015 if the aspirant has neither appeared for GPAT 2015 nor having valid and eligible GPAT 2015 score.

  1. The aspirant can register themselves by sending the application form with enrolment fee of amount Rs. 265/- (Enrolment fee Rs. 250/- + Enrolment form fee Rs. 15/- and Eligibility fee Rs 250/- + Eligibility form fee Rs.15/-) in favor of The Registrar S.N.D.T. Women’s University, Mumbai.

Admission Procedure

M.Ed, M.Sc & M.Pharm

  • Selection of the aspirant for the courses like M.Sc nursing is on the basis of merit in the qualifying examination.
  • Selection of the aspirant in MBA course is done on the basis of entrance test and score of MHCET and national level aptitude tests.
  • Selection of the aspirant in MCA programme is as per DTE rules
  • Selection of the aspirant for the courses like M.Ed, M.B.A, M.C.A, M.Tech, and M.Pharm is done on the basis of marks secured in MHT-CET entrance test.
  • Selection of the aspirant in M.Sc (CS), M.Sc in nursing and M.Sc analytical chemistry programme is as per merit basis.

Selection Procedure:

Eligible Aspirants will be required to appear in the All India written Test at their own expenses and only Aspirants qualifying in the written test will be called for Personal Interview in the ratio of 1:3 (3 Aspirants called against 1 vacancy) keeping the provision of reservation for SC/ST/OBC in view. Management reserves the right to shortlist the Aspirants for the written test also. The date of written examination shall be subsequently intimated.

Test Centre:

The written test will be held at Mumbai, New Delhi, Kolkata, and Chennai as mentioned in the online application. Aspirants will have to choose one test center, preference needs to give to nearest center from the list and the same cannot be changed after the form is submitted online. However, The Shipping Corporation of India reserves the right to cancel or add any test center or change the center chosen by the candidate.

Reservation

Seats will be reserved for Visual Impairment, Hearing Impairment and Physical Disability, as per Government rules.
