Shreemati Nathibai Damodar Thackersey (SNDT) Women's University was founded in 1916 for the noble cause of women’s education. It is the first women’s university in India as well as in south-east Asia. University is committed to cause of women’s empowerment via relevant courses in formal and non-formal streams.

Admission to the above-mentioned courses like M.Ed, M.S.Ed, M.M.S, M.P.M.I.R, M.E.M, M.B.A, M.C.A, M.Tech and M.Pharm is done on the basis of marks secured in the MHT-CET entrance test.

Admission to the abovementioned other courses like MA, MSW, BMA, M.Com, M.Sc, M.L.I.Sc and L.M nursing are on the basis of merit in the qualifying examination.

  • The aspirant must be Graduate in any branch from any university or any other recognized university
  • The aspirant must have pass English proficiency test for admission in MA English.

The student from this university should have cleared 1st year in the same subject with admissible ATKT.

Master of Arts [MA] (Hindi)

  • The aspirant must have pass English proficiency test with minimum 50% of marks for admission in MA English.

Master of Arts [MA] (Applied Linguistics)

MA 1st year Eligibility

  • The aspirant must have pass English proficiency test for admission in MA English.
  • The aspirant must be Graduate in any branch from any university or any other recognized university

MA 2nd year Eligibility

  • The student from this university should have cleared 1st year in the same subject with admissible ATKT.

MA in education technology:

The aspirant must be graduate with 50% marks (45% marks for reserved category aspirants) from the recognized university will be qualified to appear for entrance test for admission to the 1st year.

Master of Education [M.Ed]

M.Ed:

Eligibility

The aspirant must pass in courses like B.Ed, B.A.B.Ed/ B.Sc B.Ed, B.EI.Ed, D.EI.Ed with an undergraduate degree with 50% of marks and aspirant must pass in CET of GOM.

Eligibility

  • B.Ed (special education) in respective disability area or equivalent degree from any recognized university with minimum 50% of marks.
  • B.Ed (general education) and the 1-year diploma in special education in respective disability area recognized by RCI with minimum 50% marks in each course

Eligibility of MSW:

The aspirant must be Graduate in any branch from any recognized university and aspirant should pass the entrance test.

 

Master of Visual Arts [MVA]

MVA:

1st year Eligibility

Aspirant must pass the degree of master of visual arts with second class in BVA or BFA or MA with entire drawing

2nd year Eligibility

Student from this university should have cleared 1st year in the same subject with admissible ATKT.

Master of Commerce [M.Com]

1st year Eligibility

Aspirant must pass B.Com, B.M.S, B.B.A examination of this university or other recognized university.

2nd year Eligibility

Student from this university should have cleared 1st year in the same subject with admissible ATKT via distance method and M.Com.

Master of Science [M.Sc] (Communication Media for Children)

The aspirant must be graduate in any branch from UGC/ AICTE recognized institution with 50% marks or B grade.

Master of Science [M.Sc] (Nutrition and Food Procedures)

Aspirant must be graduate in any branch from a recognized institution with 50% marks or B grade.

Master of Science [M.Sc] (Interior Design)

  • Aspirant must pass in BSc Physiology, BSc Life Sciences, BSc Biology with minimum 50% of marks or B grade.
  • Aspirant must pass in BSc Resource Management, BSc Home Management, BSc Family Resource Management, BSc Home Economics, BSc General Home Science, BSc Composite Home Science, BSc Family and Community Sciences with minimum 45% of marks or B grade.

Master of Science [M.Sc] (Clinical Nutrition)

  • Aspirant must possess the degree in B.Sc. Foods and Nutrition, B.Sc. Food Science and Nutrition, B.Sc. Clinical Nutrition and Dietetics/Nutrition and Dietetics, B.Sc Public Health and Nutrition, B.Sc. Applied Nutrition with minimum 50% marks or B grade.
  • Aspirant must possess the degree in B.Sc. Life Sciences, B.Sc. Biochemistry, B.Sc Biotechnology, B.Sc. Physiology, B.Sc Zoology, B.Sc.Molecular Biology, B.Sc. Clinical and Laboratory Sciences. With minimum 50% marks or B grade.
With the minimum of 55% marks or B grade.
  • Aspirant must possess diploma in Dietetics, Applied Nutrition, Sports Sciences 
       Fitness and Nutrition, Public Health, Clinical Research.
  • Master of Science [M.Sc] (Family Resource Management)

    • Aspirant must pass in BSc Physiology, BSc Life Sciences, BSc Biology with minimum 50% of marks or B grade.
    • Aspirant must pass in BSc Resource Management, BSc Home Management, BSc Family Resource Management, BSc Home Economics, BSc General Home Science, BSc Composite Home Science, BSc Family and Community Sciences with minimum 45% of marks or B grade.

    M.Sc in resource management & ergonomics

    Eligibility

    • In special cases, aspirant graduate from the allied field will need to complete prerequisites with minimum 50% of marks
    • Aspirant must pass in resource management from this university or any other recognized university and must pass B.Sc with 50% of marks or B grade.

    Master of Science [M.Sc] (Human Development)

    • The aspirant must pass B.Sc home science with Human Development, BSc Composite Home Science, BA in Home Economics/Home Science, BA/BSc Psychology, BSc/BA Guidance and Counseling with 45% of marks
    • The aspirant must pass with one-year diploma in Early Childhood Education, Special Education, Guidance, and Counseling with minimum 45% of marks.

    M.Sc in early childhood education:

    Eligibility

    • The aspirant must pass B.Sc home science with Human Development, BSc Composite Home Science, BA in Home Economics/Home Science, BA/BSc Psychology, BSc/BA Guidance and Counseling with 45% of marks
    • The aspirant must pass with one-year diploma in Early Childhood Education, Special Education, Guidance, and Counseling with minimum 45% of marks.

    M.Sc in textile science & apparel design:

    Eligibility

    • Aspirant must pass in B Design / Textile Design with minimum 50% of marks.
    • Aspirant must possess B.Sc degree in Textile Science and Apparel Design, Fashion, Apparel Design, Dress Design with minimum 45% of marks.
    • Aspirant must possess the degree in B. Sc. Composite Home Science, B.A. Home Science, B. Sc. General Home Science, B.Sc. Human Ecology and Consumer Studies, B.Sc. Family and Community Science with minimum 50% of marks and have finished the minimum of 8 credits under semester or 200 marks under semester format concerned to textile and apparel design.

    Master of Science [M.Sc] (Extension Education)

    • Aspirant must possess bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Arts, Management, Communication, Mass Media with minimum 50% of marks.
    • Aspirant must pass in B.Sc home science with any specialization, BSc Composite Home Science, BA in Home Economics/Home Science, BSc General Home Science, BSc family and community sciences, B. Sc. Ag., BSc Home Economics with minimum 45% of marks.

    Master of Science [M.Sc] (Food Science and Nutrition)

    • Aspirant must possess the degree in B.Sc.Life Sciences, B.Sc. Biochemistry, B.Sc Biotechnology, B.Sc. Physiology, B.Sc Microbiology, B.Sc Zoology, B.Sc.Molecular Biology with minimum 55% of marks or B grade.
    • Aspirant must possess the degree in B.Sc.Foods and Nutrition, B.Sc. Food Science and Nutrition, B.Sc. Clinical Nutrition and Dietetics/Nutrition and Dietetics, B.S.c Public Health and Nutrition, B.Sc Food Science and Quality Control, B.Sc. Applied Nutrition, B.Sc Food Technology with minimum 50% of marks or B grade.
    • Aspirant must possess postgraduate diploma in Dietetics, Applied Nutrition, Sports Sciences Fitness and Nutrition, Public Health, Nutrition Food Procedures and Technology with minimum 50% of marks or B grade.

    Master of Library and Information Science [M.Lib]

    Aspirant must be Graduate from this university or any other recognized university.

    Master of Laws [L.L.M.]

    Aspirant must possess professional LL.B or equivalent degree recognized by bar council of India.

    M.M.S:

    Eligibility

    Aspirant must possess a valid score of centralized Management Academic Test (CMAT) organized by All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE) and any other process prescribed by the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) of Maharashtra.

    Master of Personnel Management and Industrial Relations (MPMIR)

    Aspirant must be graduate in any branch with 50% marks at graduation for open category and 45% marks for the reserved category from an Indian recognized Institute and final selection will be based on written test, group discussion and personal interview organized by JDBIMS or valid score card of any national level test.

    M.E.M:

    Eligibility

    • Aspirant must possess diploma in education management from SNDT University who seekings direct admission to the 2nd year of the course.
    • Aspirant must be Graduate in any branch but preference will be given to teachers and those who are working in the education sector.
    • Aspirant shall apply within 6 years of completion of PGDEM for direct enrolment in 2nd year of MEM.

    MBA/PGDM

    Aspirant must be Graduate in any branch with 50% of marks for open category and 45% of marks for the reserved category from an Indian University recognized by AIU written test, group discussion and personal interview organized by JDBIMS or having valid score of the national test.

    Master of Science [M.Sc] (Nursing)

    Aspirant must possess the degree in B.Sc. Nursing or Pc. B.Sc. Nursing and must be having migration certificate from the university.

    Master of Science [M.Sc] (Analytical Chemistry)

    The aspirant must pass B.Sc degree with 5 units of 4 credits each or 32 credits of chemistry.

    Master of Science [M.Sc] (Computer Science)

    • The aspirant must be science graduate in BSc. (Maths.), BSc (Elect.), BSc.(IT), B.Sc.(CS) or BCA or any engineering graduate in allied subject from a recognized university with not less than 50% of marks for open category and 45% for reserved category.
    • Aspirant must pass mathematics at +2 levels or must study at graduation level.
    (Physics), BSc.

    Master of Computer Applications [M.C.A]

    The aspirant can get admission according to MAH-MCA-CET score as per DTE norms.

    Master of Technology [M.Tech] (Electronics and Communication Engineering)

    • Aspirant must possess 4 years degree in Engineering/Technology from AICTE approved institute
    • Aspirant must possess the degree in B.E./B.Tech.in Electronics/ Electronics and Communication /Electronics and Telecommunication/Electronics and Instrumentation.

    Master of Technology [M.Tech] (Computer Science & Technology)

    • Aspirant must possess degree in B.E./B.Tech.in Electronics/ Electronics and Communication /Electronics and Telecommunication/Electronics and Instrumentation.
    • Aspirant must possess 4 years degree in Engineering/Technology from AICTE approved institute and marks of GATE/CET are considered.

    M.Pharm

    Programmes under M.Pharm:

    1. Herbal drug technology
    2. Quality assurance
    3. Pharmaceutics

    All the 3 courses mentioned above under M.Pharm. must have same following eligibility criteria:

    Eligibility

    • The aspirant should have non zero scores in MAH-MPH-CET 2015, if the aspirant has neither appeared for GPAT 2015 nor having valid and eligible GPAT 2015 score.
    • Aspirant must be an Indian national and must possess bachelor’s degree pharmacy from AICTE approved institute with at least 50% of marks and 45% of marks in case of SC/ST category and the person with disability belong to Maharashtra State.
    • Aspirant must eligible GPAT 2016 All India Rank /Total Score.

    Step To Apply

    MA , M.Ed & M.Com

    1. Aspirant can register themselves by sending the application form with enrolment fee of amount Rs. 265/- (Enrolment fee Rs. 250/- + Enrolment form fee Rs. 15/- and Eligibility fee Rs 250/- + Eligibility form fee Rs.15/-) in favor of The Registrar S.N.D.T. Women’s University, Mumbai.
    2. Aspirants have to send application form along with all the documents at the following address

    Online registration

    1. The aspirant has to open the university portal and register himself/herself.
    2. After registration aspirant receives username and password on his email ID and mobile no.
    3. The aspirant can verify the registration and change his/her password.
    4. After that aspirant starts filling the online application form and upload his/her photo and signature, personal details, contact, correspondence, reservation and educational details.
    5. Aspirant prints eSuvidha kit and enters confirmation code in the system.
    6. Then aspirants can select the course from list of first-year courses available and selects affiliated college which is running the course.
    7. Then aspirant select the need document to be attached with the application and takes the printout of the form and attached the need documents.
    8. At the end, aspirant purchases the prospectus of the college and submit an application form and need documents in college.

    Enclosures:

    1. Leaving Certificate (photocopy)
    2. An attested photocopy of last qualifying mark sheet
    3. The attested passing certificate allowed by the board or University
    4. Original Migration Certificate or Original transfer Certificate
    5. Provisional Eligibility Certificate is given by this University

    MA , M.Ed & M.Sc

    • Selection of the aspirant in M.Com is straight on the basis of merit.
    • Selection of the aspirant in MMS is done according to the centralized admission process organized by Directorate of Technical Education, Government of Maharashtra.
    • Selection of the aspirant in career and development counseling is done on the basis of personal interview, group discussion and entrance examination.
    • Selection of the aspirant for the courses like M.Ed, M.S.Ed, M.M.S, M.P.M.I.R, M.E.M, M.B.A, M.C.A, M.Tech and M.Pharm is done on the basis of marks secured in MHT-CET entrance test.
    • Selection of the aspirant for the courses like MA, MSW, BMA, M.Com, M.Sc, M.L.I.Sc, and L.M is on the basis of merit in the qualifying examination.
    • Selection of the aspirant in the MA course is done on the basis of personal interview, group discussion and entrance examination.
    • Selection of the aspirant in MCA programme is as per DTE rules
    • Selection of the aspirant in the MVA course is done on the basis of personal interview and merit.
    • Selection of the aspirant in MBA course is done on the basis of entrance test and score of MHCET and national level aptitude tests.
