Sacred Heart College Thevara is a private college founded in 1944. In 2000, the college was accredited by the National Accreditation and Assessment Council (NAAC). The College offers 11 undergraduate and 10 postgraduate programs and a range of diploma and certificate programs.

For admission to Post Graduate Courses:

  • Application fee of INR 300 is for General aspirants and INR 150 for SC/ST aspirants

Eligibility criteria will be based upon the format under which aspirant has pursed the qualifying examination. M.A. EnglishParticipants should possess CGPA of 4.5 out of 10 or equivalent marks in the Core Group (Core plus Open and Complementary courses). The formats are CBCSS Format (Max grade point 4), CBCSS New Format (Max grade point 10) and Pre CBCSS Format (Based on Marks).

Aspirants must visit the official website for registering themselves for the course. Enter the discipline name transaction date and click “Continue”
  • Online payment: If you prefer this mode, use any debit/credit card except RuPay
  • Enter the discipline name transaction date and click “Continue”
  • NEFT payment: In this mode, download print the NEFT form and remit the fee in any bank and keep the counterfoil and UTR number. The payment can be made via any of the following ways:

    • Challan payment: If you choose this mode, download, print the challan form and remit the application fee in any discipline of the South Indian Bank. The application procedure is as follows:

      • Click on ‘Post Graduate Admissions’ link
      • In case you are a new participant, click on “Registration” button and enter the registration details
      • After registration, a unique Password will be sent to your email and mobile immediately
      • After making payment, select the course in which you seeking admission
      • Click on ‘Apply Online’ and select the method of payment via which you seeking to make payment
      • Visit the official website
      • Submit the form
      • Preview the form before final submission
      • At the time of filling academic qualification, choose the format in which you have studied the qualifying examination
      • Fill the form with all relevant educational, individual and reservation information
      • Login with the username and unique password
      • Upload recent scanned passport sized photograph

      Note: No changes can be made after the final submission of application.

      Application Fee

      Aspirants required to pay the application fee of INR 300 for General category aspirants and INR 150 for SC/ST category aspirants.

    Selection of aspirants will be based on the Rank List which will be prepared on basis of qualifying examination.

    • Under CBCSS (NEW) format, the CGPA secured for Part III Core group (Core +Complementary courses). The index mark is arrived at after adding/deducting weightage/bonus marks/handicap marks if any
    • Under the Pre-CBCSS format, the rank of Post Graduate degree programs will be prepared on the basis of the marks obtained in the qualifying examination in part III subjects. The index mark is arrived at after adding/deducting weightage/bonus marks/handicap marks if any

    Bonus Marks

    The Bonus marks will be honoured as:

    • A bonus of 15 marks will be honoured to the Ex-servicemen participants and widows and children of Jawans and Ex-servicemen want admission to the P.G. The list of documents are as follows:

      • Relevant ORIGINAL certificates in case of aspirants who have availed bonus/weightage of marks (NSS/NCC/Ex-servicemen)
      • Caste certificate in the case of SC/ST aspirants
      • Eligibility Certificate from Mahatma Gandhi University, in the case of aspirants who have passed their qualifying examination from other Universities
      • Copy of the online application
      • Allocation Memo received online
      • Transfer Certificate (TC) from the Institution last attended and Organize Certificate
      • Certificate to prove date of birth (Copy of Class X Mark List)
      • Medical certificate
      • Grade card/ Mark lists of all parts of the Degree examination and Provisional/Degree Certificate
      • Migration Certificate, if eligible
      Programs
    • The bonus of 10 marks will be honoured to participants who have graduated from Sacred Heart College, Thevara
    • A bonus of five marks will be honoured to NCC and NSS aspirants for admission to all programs

    Deduction in Marks

    Handicap mark of 5 will be deducted from the total rank marks for each additional appearance he/she has taken for completing the qualifying examination. The number of chances means the number of chances for passing any part of the qualifying examination excluding cancellation.

    Tie-Breaker

    In case, more than one aspirant obtaining equal index marks the following tiebreaker will be considered:

    • If the tie still persists, the age of the aspirants will be taken into account, the older being placed higher in the ranking
    • An aspirant who has scored more marks in Part III Main will be placed higher in ranking
    • If the tie persists, the aspirant who has scored more marks in Part I common courses/papers English will be placed higher in ranking
    • If the tie still persists, the marks scored in Part II common course / additional language will be considered
    • If the tie persists, the alphabetical order of the first name of the aspirants will be taken into account.
