RTM Nagpur University (RTMNU) invites aspirants to join their undergraduate programmes in B.E./B.Tech and B.Arch. It was founded in 1923 and it is one of the oldest universities in India. The University holds an entrance exam MHT-CET to admit students in their engineering courses. The university was formally known as Nagpur University. courses. It is accredited as 'A' grade by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) and is ranked as one of the top universities in India. The test is of 300 marks with 3 papers. The admission is based on the marks in MHT-CET and the marks in the 10+2 or equivalent exam.

The admission for B.Arch. is based on the marks scored by the aspirant in their qualifying 10+2/10+3 diploma or equivalent exam along with their marks in NATA/JEE Main.

Full Time: The aspirant must have passed 10+2 or equivalent exam.

Part Time: The aspirant must have a Diploma in Engineering in the discipline for which he/she seeks admission.

B.Arch

Duration: 5 years

  • The aspirant should have scored minimum 40% (80 out of 200) marks in NATA 2016 or 40% marks in the second paper of JEE Main 2016.
  • The aspirant should have passed a 10+3 Full-Time Diploma or equivalent examination from a recognised institution. AND
  • The aspirant should have passed 10+2 or equivalent exam with an at least of 50% (45% for reserved categories) marks. He/She should also have Mathematics as one of the mandatory subjects. OR


Application Procedure of RTMNU B.E/B.Tech and B.Arch. Admission 2018

BE/B.Tech

  • After registration, the aspirant has to fill the application form online and upload his/her photo and signatures.
  • The challan is of Rs.860/- for general and Rs.660/- for reservation category aspirants.
  • After payment of challan, aspirants have to update their application form within 48 hours to clear the application procedure.
  • Aspirants can register for MHT-CET at www.mhtcet2017.co.in.
  • After filling the form, the aspirants have to take a print out of the bank challan and pay it in any SBI discipline.

B.Arch

  • The aspirants have to pay an additional fee of Rs.50/- if they are filling the form from an ARC facility.
  • The application kit will contain application ID, password, and important instructions to fill the online application form.
  • The application kit and brochure can be collected from any designated ARC by paying a registration fee of INR 700/- (INR.500/- for reserved categories) in cash.
  • The aspirants can submit the form online after logging in with their allotted application ID and password.
  • After submitting the form online, the aspirants have to confirm their online application forms and verify their documents to the ARC.

The documents need for verification are:

  1. S.S.C. (Std.X) mark sheet
  2. H.S.C. (Std. XII) mark sheet
  3. School leaving certificate after passing H.S.C.
  4. Certificate of the Indian Nationality of the aspirant (no need for foreign category)
  5. Domicile certificate (for State seats)
  6. Caste certificate (for reserved seats)
  7. Caste validity certificate (for reserved seats)
  8. Defense Service Certificate (for ex-servicemen)
  9. Certificate of posting in case of defence and Govt. Servants (for J&K students)
  10. Certificate for stay in refugee camp for those staying in refugee camp (for J&K students)
  11. Certificate stating that the aspirant belongs to displaced family (for J&K students)
  12. Eligibility certificate from related University (for foreign students)
  13. Certificate / Proof of Foreign national status (for foreign students)


Admission Procedure of RTMNU B.E/B.Tech and B.Arch. Admission 2018

BE/B.Tech

The aspirants are selected on the basis of their marks scored in MHT-CET and marks in their 10+2 or equivalent exam.

Examination:

The University organizes Maharashtra Health and Technical Common Entrance Test (MHT-CET) to admit students to their B.E./B.Tech. courses. Paper one and two have 100 MCQs of 1 mark each and third paper has 50 MCQs of 2 marks each. Each paper will be of 1½ hours. The first paper is of Physics and Chemistry, the second paper is of Botany and Zoology, and third paper is of Mathematics.

The test will be consists of three papers of 100 marks each.  The syllabus will be same as the syllabus for HSC exam of HSC Board of Maharashtra for that year. The medium of examination can be English, Marathi, or Urdu.

B.Arch

The aspirants will be selected on the basis of a merit score assigned to them. All the students from all the categories will be allotted their preferred seats on the basis of their merit score. The seats available for this round are those which were not filled after the first round.
  • The Third Round is a counseling round only for those Maharashtra State aspirants whose name is current is the list for the third round. The students whose names are currently in the list for CAP Round 1 will have to report to the institute where the seat is allotted are submit his/her documents and fees.
  • The Second Round is also a direct allocation round. The seats are allotted on the basis of their merit. college of Architecture, Mumbai as per their notified schedule.

    The merit score will be calculated out of 200 marks with 50-50 weightage to NATA/JEE Main score and HSC marks of the aspirant.

    • HSC/10+3 Diploma/Equivalent exam Marks: The marks of the student in HSC/10+3 Diploma/ equivalent exam out of 100 will be counted.
    • NATA/JEE Main Score: The score of the aspirant in NATA out of 200 will be converted into marks out of 100, or the score of the aspirant in the second paper of JEE Main will be counted.

    The aspirants will be selected through Common Allocation Procedure (CAP) which will have 3 rounds:

    • The First Round is a direct allocation round. All seats vacant after the first two rounds are available, regardless of category. Aspirants selected in this category will have to pay a non-refundable fee of INR 5,000/- for admission.

    Note: For J&K aspirants, the selection will be based on counseling and they do not have to fill the form for CAP. Such aspirants have to be current with their documents and fees at Sir J.J.
