Admission to M.Tech programme for various specializations is made on the basis of Centralised Admission Procedure organized by the Directorate of Technical Education. To register for CAP, aspirants need to fill an application form available on DTE website and appear in an online counseling procedure. There is no entrance test organized by the authority for selection of aspirants, only GATE score is the basis for selection.

A merit list will be announced by DTE to consider admission for the M.Tech programme. This phone number and email ID will be used for getting notifications concerned to the further admission process. For filling the application form, aspirants need to register themselves on the website with the help of a valid email ID and phone number. There are 80% seats allotted to each University for taking admission on the basis of CAP and other 20% seats are filed by the University/College themselves. Aspirants need to fill the college and course according to their choice and once the third counseling procedure is over a final merit list will be announced on the basis of which admission to M.Tech programme will be made. Once the aspirants register themselves, they will get a username and password which will be used to login on the website.

Eligibility: Aspirants are need to have been passed B.Tech or any other bachelor programme in relevant specialisation with at least 50% marks (45% for reserved category) to be qualified for the M.Tech programme.

NOTE:       

Only Indian nationals satisfying the above-mentioned criteria are qualified for the programme. Those aspirants who have a valid GATE score card are qualified for CAP.

Application Procedure

ME/M.Tech

  • The cost for application fee is INR 700 for open category aspirants and INR 500 for reserved category aspirants, which is to be paid online via Credit card/Debit card/Net banking.
  • Aspirants need to visit the official website of DTE Maharashtra and have to select the M.Tech option to apply for the programme. These three things are to be kept in record by the aspirant for future use.

User facts:

  • Aspirants are recommended to keep the print out of payment slip and application form along with them which is to be used in document verification.
  • The photograph should be taken in white background.
  • The photograph and signature of aspirants are to be of a 50kb size, more than that is not acceptable.
  • Scan the signature in 200dpi (dots per inch)
  • The photograph is to be uploaded as photo.jpeg and signature as sign.jpeg
  • The signature should be done on white paper with a black pen.

NOTE: Incomplete application form is subjected to rejection and no information regarding this will be forwarded to aspirants by the authority.

Aspirants need to enter a valid email id, mobile number, and password. Aspirants will be offered with a unique username and password which is to be kept with them for future use. Their aspirants need to fill the need details and upload their photograph and signature.

Admission Procedure

ME/M.Tech

  • Once the counseling procedure is over, a final list is announced mentioning the details of college and course offered to aspirants. Those participants who satisfy the criteria mentioned in the merit list are qualified to apply for the further selection procedure.
  • Those aspirants who find their names in the merit list need to appear for the counseling procedure. Counseling is done online and aspirants need to login to the website by their username and password. Aspirants need to visit the college and confirm their admission by submitting the need documents and confirmation letter.
  • Selection for the M.Tech programme is done on the basis of CAP (Centralised Admission Procedure) status. There they required to select the course and college was they seeking to study.

Documents to be productive at the time of admission:

  1. 10th standard marks sheet
  2. 10th standard passing certificate
  3. Marks sheet of B.Tech
  4. B.Tech degree certificate
  5. Transfer certificate
  6. GATE scorecard
  7. Two passport size photographs

NOTE: Aspirants need to take 2 Xerox of the above-mentioned documents.

User facts:

  • 80% of seats for the M.Tech programme are to be filled via CAP and 20% via University level.
  • University also considers GATE score for filing the 20% share of seats for the M.Tech programme.
There is no entrance test organized for selection, the authority will announce a merit list on the basis of GATE score.
