RGUHS [Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Science] was founded on 1st June 1996 in Bangalore by Govt. of Karnataka. It comprises all the health science colleges and institutions in Karnataka with a purpose of ensuring proper and systematic instruction, teaching, training and research in modern and Indians systems of medicine.

University  provides  post graduate (PG) programmes in different branchs mentioned below:

Under graduate courses:

Admission to the above-mentioned programmes is organized via merit in the qualifying degree.

Aspirants can register themselves by sending a DD of Rs.400/- for general category aspirants and Rs. 100/- for SC/ST category aspirants for admission in the B.Sc. and B.P.T courses.

Eligibility Criteria

MBBS

Eligibility

  • Aspirants must have passed in 2 years pre-university examination with English as one subject and Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as optional subjects. Aspirants must have to pass in above subject individually also.
  • Aspirant shall have passed B.Sc. examination with not less than 2 of the following subject Physics, Chemistry, Biology.

Marks eligibility

  • Aspirants must have passed individually in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English with minimum 50% marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry and Biology in the qualifying examination but in case of SC/ST/OBC marks need are 40%.

Age limit eligibility

  • The aspirant should have finished 17 years on or before the 31st day of December in the year of admission

B.Sc

Programmes under B.Sc. allied health sciences:

Eligibility criteria of the above-mentioned programmes are as follows:

Eligibility

  • Aspirants must have passed the pre-university examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Mathematics, as principal subjects in order to take admission in B.Sc. Imaging Technology or B.Sc. Radiotherapy Technology.
  • Aspirants must have passed in 2 years of pre-university examination or any equivalent examination recognized by RGUHS of health science with, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as principal subjects of study
  • Aspirants must possess 2 years diploma from recognized government board and a pass in 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology, as principal subjects.

BAMS , B.Pharm & B.Sc (Nursing)

Eligibility

  • Aspirants should be an Indian citizen.
  • Aspirants must have studied one or more government institution situated in state of Karnataka for a minimum duration of seven years from I to II PUC or 12th Standard or SSLC or 10th standard or II PUC or 12th standard.

Age limit eligibility

  • The aspirant should have been born on or before December 31, 1997.

 

BHMS

Eligibility

  • Aspirants must have passed B.Sc. examination with not less than 2 of the following subject Physics, Chemistry, Biology.
  • Aspirants must have passed in 2 years pre-university examination with English as one subject and Physics, Chemistry and Biology took together and individually as well.

  • Aspirants must have passed B.Sc. examination with not less than 2 of the following subject Physics, Chemistry, Biology.
  • Aspirants must have passed in 2 years pre-university examination with English as one subject and Physics, Chemistry and Biology took together and individually as well.

Marks eligibility

  • Aspirants must have passed individually in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English with minimum 50% marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry and Biology in the qualifying examination but in case of SC/ST/OBC marks need are 40%.

Application Procedure

MBBS , BDS & B.Sc

  1. Aspirants can download the application form online from the university website “www.rguhs.ac.in”.
  2. Aspirants can submit the filled application form in person or by post by submitting the DD of Rs. 400/-for general category aspirants and Rs. 100/- for SC/ST category aspirants for admission in the B.Sc. and B.P.T courses along with all the attested copies of the documents submitted at

Aspirants have to submit photocopies of all the documents attested by Gazetted Officer along with the filled application form.

Enclosures:

  1. S.S.L.C marks card (for proof of Date of Birth).
  2. Marks Card of II-PUC or equivalent examination.
  3. Prescribed certificates in the case of aspirants claiming reservation under various categories i.e., category & income certificate allowed by the Tahasildar of Karnataka only.
  4. Domicile Certificate for 10 years in Karnataka (Allowed by the Tahasildar of Karnataka) or Study Certificate of seven years in Karnataka.
  5. Relevant Certificates for those who are claiming concession for seven years study in Karnataka.
  6. Aspirant studied other than Karnataka PUC Board, CBSE Board and ICSC Board should submit the Eligibility Certificate obtained from the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore without fail.
  7. Attested photocopy of transfer certificate.
  8. Physically fitness certificate.
  9. Study certificate for having studied in Rural/Kannada medium.

Selection Procedure

MBBS , BDS & BAMS

  • Selection of the aspirants is based on the merit in the degree examination.
  • Aspirants should be Indian citizens.

Reservation Criteria

  • Aspirants who received the “President Award” during the five-year duration and won medals, cups or plates in games during five years duration of study in Karnataka between VIII to XII standards
  • Aspirants who represented the country in international level during and won medals, cups or plates in games during five years duration of study in Karnataka between VIII to XII standards
  • Aspirants who possess at least ‘B’ certificate under NCC obtained during the 5 years of study in Karnataka between VIII to XII
  • Aspirants who represented Karnataka in any sports or games and won medals, cups or plates during five years duration of study in Karnataka between VIII to XII standards
