RGUHS [Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Science] was founded on 1st June 1996 at Bangalore by Govt. It comprises all the health science colleges and institutions in Karnataka with a purpose of ensuring proper and systematic instruction, teaching, training, and research in modern and Indians systems of medicine. of Karnataka.
University provides different undergraduate (UG) & postgraduate (PG) programmes in different branches:
Admission to the above-mentioned programmes is via merit in the qualifying degree and the performance in the competitive examinations held by central or state or university institutions.

Aspirants must have passed in 2 years pre-university examination with English as one subject and Physics, Chemistry and Biology took together and individually as well.
Aspirants must have passed B.Sc. examination with not less than 2 of the following subject Physics, Chemistry, Biology.
Aspirants must have passed individually in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English with minimum 50% marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry and Biology in the qualifying examination but in case of SC/ST/OBC marks need are 40%.

Aspirants should have finished 17 years on or before the 31st day of December in the year of admission
Aspirants must possess a degree in BDS honored by an Indian University in respect of dental college or equivalent qualification recognized by Dental Council of India.

The aspirant can download the application form online from the university website “www.rguhs.ac.in”.
Aspirants can submit the filled application form in person or by post by submitting the DD of Rs. 400/-for general category aspirants and Rs. 100/- for SC/ST category aspirants for admission in the Under Graduate and Post Graduate courses along with all the attested copies of the documents submitted at

Aspirants have to submit photocopies of all the documents attested by Gazetted Officer along with the filled application form.
S.S.L.C marks card (for proof of Date of Birth).
Marks Card of II-PUC or equivalent examination.
Prescribed certificates in the case of aspirants claiming reservation under various categories i.e., category & income certificate allowed by the Tahasildar of Karnataka only.
Domicile Certificate for 10 years in Karnataka (Allowed by the Tahasildar of Karnataka) or Study Certificate of seven years in Karnataka.
Relevant Certificates for those who are claiming concession for seven years study in Karnataka.
Aspirant studied other than Karnataka PUC Board, CBSE Board and ICSC Board should submit the Eligibility Certificate obtained from the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore without fail.
Attested photocopy of transfer certificate.
Physically fitness certificate.
Study certificate for having studied in Rural/Kannada medium.

Aspirants should be Indian citizens.
Selection of the aspirants for MDS programme is based on performance in competitive examinations held by central or state or university institutions.
Selection of the aspirants is based on the merit in the degree examination.

Sri Rajiv Gandhi College of Dental Sciences Eligibility Criteria for BDS Admission
For BDS admission at Sri Rajiv Gandhi Dental College Bangalore, Aspirants must have passed 12th or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry and Biology subjects.
The Aspirants must have obtained at least 50% marks in the PCB group (40% in the case of SC/ST of the Karnataka State).
The Aspirants must have passed in English as a compulsory subject.
The Aspirants must have completed the age of 17 years on or before the year of BDS admission.
