Rashtriya Sanskrit Vidyapeetha is a deemed university which was founded in 1956. The university was certified under UGC Act of section 3 in the field of higher learning in Sanskrit studies, Traditional Sastras, and Sanskrit Teacher Education. It is also re-accredited by NAAC with A grade.

University provides different Postgraduate (PG) programmes mentioned below:

Postgraduate course:

  • M.A Sanskrit – (2 years)
  • Post Graduate Diploma – (1 year)
  • M.A Hindi – (2 years)
  • Acharya (M.A.) – (2 years)

The aspirant can get admission to all the above mentioned courses via interview organized by the university.

Aspirants can register themselves to the above mentioned course by submitting the application fee along with DD of amount Rs. 200/-.

RSVP M.Sc & MA Admissions 2018 Eligibility Criteria

Master of Arts [MA] (Acharya)

Eligibility

  • The aspirant must have given any other examination recognised by the Rashtriya Sanskrit Vidyapeetha as equivalent to Sastri.
  • The aspirant must have given Siromani Final examination of Madras University, Chennai or Annamalai University, Annamalai Nagar.
  • The aspirant must have finished B.A.(O.L)/B.A.(L), B.A./B.A(Hons.)/B.O.L equivalent examinations with Sanskrit of all recognised universities.
  • The aspirant must have appeared in Vidyapraveena final examination of Andhra University, Waltair.
  • Aspirants having Sanskrit as Second language or one of the subjects in the group at Graduate Level are also applicable for admission into Acharya in Sahitya, Puranetihasa, and Dharmasastra.
  • Aspirant must have given Vidwat Madyama examination of Karnataka Government
  • Aspirant must have given Vidyalankara and Vedalankara examinations of Gurukula Kangri Viswavidyalaya, Haridwar
  • Aspirant must have passed 3 years degree course in Sastri or respective subjects
  • Aspirant must have finished 2 years degree course with Bridge course of Rashtriya Sanskrit Vidyapeetha, Tirupati or Sri Lal Bahadur Sastri Rashtriya Sanskrit Vidyapeetha, New Delhi or Rashtriya Sanskrit Sansthan, New Delhi
  • The aspirant must have passed Siromani Final examination of Madras University, Chennai S.V. University, Tirupati or Sastra Bhushana Final examination of Kerala Government.

Age limit eligibility

Aspirant age must be at least of 20 years as on 01-06-2018.

Masters in Ancient Indian Management Techniques:

Eligibility Criteria

The aspirant must be graduate in any branch with at least 50% of marks.

Age limit eligibility

Aspirants’ age should be at least 20 years.

Master of Arts [MA] (Sanskrit)

The aspirant must possess Sastri/ B.A. / or any other equivalent degree with Computer Science/Computer Applications or sufficient Computer background.

The aspirant must possess B.A./B.Sc./BCA/ or any other equivalent degree with Sanskrit and Computer Science or Mathematics background.

M.A Hindi: -

Eligibility Criteria

  • The aspirant must be any Graduate without Hindi at the graduate level or as the subject at the graduate level.
  • The aspirant must be Any Graduate/equivalent to Graduate with second language Hindi / optional Hindi.

Age limit eligibility

Aspirant age must be at least of 20 years as on 01-06-2018.

MA, M.Sc & Post Graduate Diploma in Arts

  • Aspirants have to submit their filled in application form along with prospectus in person by DD of amount Rs. 200 from any Nationalised bank drawn in favor of The Registrar, R.S.Vidyapeetha, Tirupati payable at Tirupati or challan in the Andhra Bank, R.S.Vidyapeetha discipline, Tirupati
  • Aspirants can download application form and prospectus from university website “http://rsvidyapeetha.ac.in”
  • Aspirants can also obtain the application form by post after submitting the amount of Rs. 250/- by DD in favor of The Registrar, R.S.Vidyapeetha, Tirupati payable at Tirupati
  • Incomplete applications received after the due date will be rejected
  • Aspirants must bring the following original documents at the time of interview which is as below:-
  • If the aspirant is not current physically, the aspirant will lose their seat.
  • Aspirant admission will be confirmed after the interview and written test organized by the university.
  • The aspirant must attend the interview with original documents and 3 sets of photocopies of documents on specified date and time.

Selection of the aspirants to the above mentioned courses is done on the basis of interview organized by the university.

RSVP M.Sc & MA Admissions 2018 Reservation Criteria

Reservation of seats in the university is as per the existing norms of UGC or by the government of India. Seat reservation in different categories are as follows:-

  • 15% seats are reserved for the SC aspirants and 7½% seats are reserved for the ST category aspirants.
  • 27% seats are reserved for the OBC category aspirants.
  • 3% seats are reserved for the person with the disability and few seats are also reserved for the children of the employees of the Vidyapeetha

Scholarship

  • 25 students from Prak-Sastri, 5 from each Sastra at Sastri level and 10 from each Sastra at Acharya level will be honored Scholarship as per rules
  • Aspirant will get scholarship on the basis of their percentage of marks in the last qualifying examination.
  • The scholarship will be given only for 10 months in a year.

Hostel

  • University offers 4 hostels for men aspirants and separate 3 hostels for research aspirants
  • University also offers separate hostel for women aspirant.
