Rani Durgavati Vishwavidyalaya (RDVV) is a government university, situated in Jabalpur and is also known as the University of Jabalpur. The university is named after queen Durgavati. RDVV has the vision to create a better society and maintains values of humanity. An admission notification has been published by the University in different Post Graduation programmes.

Aspirants applying for the admission in the Post Graduation course should clear the Qualifying Degree Merit Examination organized by University. The university provides post-graduation in M.Sc.., LL.M., MA, M.P.Ed. The aspirant must check their eligibility and reservation criteria before applying to the related programmes.

Reservation of seats for the aspirants that belong to SC/ST/OBC, physically handicapped and women category will be as per the MP Government/ University rules.

Eligibility
Master of Science [M.Sc] (Botany)

  • Marks secured by the SC/ST/OBC category aspirants will be as per the government norms.
  • Students looking for admission should have graduation degree in B.Sc. (Honours) or B.Sc. from recognized University with 50% marks.
  • Students who have studied Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Mathematics in Science Stream are also qualified to apply.

Master of Science [M.Sc] (Biochemistry)

  • Those students are also qualified who have studied Mathematics as one of the subjects in B.Sc. (Honours).
  • Aspirants must have studied Mathematics at 10+2 level from recognized board.
  • Students applying for admission should pass Physics and Mathematics at the qualifying examination.
  • Aspirants should pass B.Sc. (Honours) in Chemistry from the recognized board with aggregate 50% marks.

Master of Science [M.Sc] (Microbiology)

  • Students who have studied B.Sc. with at least one subject of Biological Sciences or BAMS or MBBS or BHMS or BPT or B.Pharm. from the recognized university are also qualified to apply.
  • Aspirants also have studied Physics, Chemistry, Zoology or Botany with Bachelor’s degree as well as HSC board examination.
  • Aspirants must have passed graduation in B.Sc. with Life Sciences/Microbiology as subjects from the recognized university with 50% marks.

Master of Science [M.Sc] (Chemistry)

  • Students belong to General Category must secure 55% marks and SC/ST aspirants must obtain 50% marks in related subjects.
  • Aspirants should possess Graduation degree in B.Sc. Chemistry from recognized University.
  • Students should study Chemistry with Mathematics and Physics as pass subjects.

Master of Science [M.Sc] (Mathematics)

Aspirants should have passed Graduation degree in B.Sc. from the recognized university with 45% marks.

Master of Science [M.Sc] (Computer Science)

Aspirants looking for admission must possess Graduation degree in B.Sc. Computer Science or in BCA from the recognized university with 50% marks.

Master of Laws [L.L.M.]

The period of Master’s of Law (LL.M) is 2 years:

  • Students looking for admission must possess Graduation degree in LLB or BL from a recognized university with 55% marks under 10+2+5 format.
  • Aspirants should clear the CLAT i.e. “Common Law Admission Test “entrance test to apply for admission.
  • Reserved categories i.e. SC/ST/Persons with Disabilities must have scored aggregate 50% marks to apply for admission.
  • There is no age restriction for admission to the Master’s degree of Law.

Master of Physical Education [M.P.Ed]

  • Aspirants must have passed Graduation degree in B.P.Ed. or B.P.E or B.Sc. in Health and Physical Education and a degree in Sports from a recognized university with 50% marks as per NCTE norms.
  • 5% relaxation in marks will be given to SC/ST/OBC category aspirants.

Eligibility:

  • Aspirants should possess graduation degree from reputed University in any of the following subjects: Physics, Chemistry, Microbiology or Fine Arts or Architecture.
  • Aspirants looking for admissions must have done Graduation Degree in any branch from a recognized University with 45% marks.

Master of Library and Information Science [M.Lib]

  • Aspirants applying for admission must have passed Graduation in Information Science / Library Science / Information Science or equivalent from a reputed university.
  • Students must possess B.Lib.I.Sc. Graduation degree from the recognized University with 50% marks.

Duration: 1 Year

Notes

  • Aspirants must be an Indian citizen and their age should be around 18 to 24 years.
  • Aspirants who have passed graduation degree from distance education method can also apply for admission.
  • Seats are reserved for the backward classes with relaxation in admission criteria.

Aspirants are recommended to go via the departmental information and admission rules on university website before start filling the application form.

  • Application form can be obtained and submit online via the university website “www.rdunijbpin.nic.in”
  • Fees for online submission of the application form via merit method are Rs. 330/-.
  • Aspirants can register for any of the course by filling separate application forms.
  • If information filled by the aspirant is incomplete or inaccurate then the application form filled by the aspirant will be rejected.

Students should follow the steps mentioned below for filling up the online admission form:

  • Aspirants should select the services and fill the admission form of merit mode.
  • Photocopies of the enclosures should be submitted to the department for verification before the last date of application submission.
  • After that aspirant should fill the application form and upload it.

Admission Procedure

M.Sc , MA & M.P.Ed

  • Aspirants must be selected according to the rank secured by them in the merit list of qualifying examination organized by the university.
  • AAPHER is the physical fitness and qualifying examination test organized by the university. It is abbreviated for “American Association for Health, Physical Education, and Recreation”.
  • Shortlisted aspirants will be called for admission along with the need documents but if the aspirant fails to come on the specific date then their admission would be delayed.
