Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya (RGPV) PG Admission 2018

Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya (RGPV) is a University which is situated in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. The University is affiliated to most of the Technical colleges of Madhya Pradesh.

The University provides different courses at Undergraduate and Postgraduate level. The admissions for these courses are done via a counseling process.

Students want admission in ME/ M.Tech courses provided by the University can get admission on the basis of GATE or via performance in Qualifying Examination. While, for M.Pharma, students can appear for GPAT or can get admission via their performance in the Qualifying Examination. The application for GATE generally opens in September followed by the exam in February.

Further, the students required to register for the counseling. The application for the same opens in July.   Selected students are expected to submit their documents for verification by reporting to the allotted counseling venue. Part admission Fees is also to be paid.

  • Students who seek to pursue M.E./M.Tech. from RGPV must have a degree in B.Tech. in the relevant branch and should have finished their education in 10+2+4 format.
  • A valid score in GATE is also accepted by the university.

Eligibility: Students who seeking to take admission in M.Arch. should have done B.Arch. with 50% marks minimum.

Students want admission in any of the Postgraduate courses provided by the University required to have passed their Higher Secondary Examination from a recognized Board/ Council.

They also must have finished their Graduation in the concerning subject/ Field. Also, students in their final year can apply for GATE/ GPAT, offered that they meet the eligibility criteria at the time of the counseling.

RGPV PG Admission 2018 How To Apply?


Students want admission to any of the Post Graduate courses provided by the University required to apply for the same by following the steps mentioned below:

  • The application for the same can be established online at www.mponline.gov.in. Students required to fill the whole application form with accurate information and valid contact details. After the registration, login credentials are created. These login credentials required to be kept cautiously for future use.
  • In case, students want admission on the basis of their performance in GATE/ GPAT, then they required to apply for GATE/ GPAT followed by the Counselling process.
  • However, the students who want admission on the basis of their Qualifying examination required to straight apply for the Counselling Process.

  • Finally, students required to pay the Application fee (INR 1500 for General/ OBC Male students and INR 750 for rest) in order to successfully complete their application. Further, students are expected to download their hall tickets as per the schedule.
  • Students appearing in GATE, required to apply for the same by filling out an application form available online at the official GATE website. Basic details are to be filled and images of Photograph, signature and left-hand thumb impression are to be uploaded.

    Admissions are done via a counseling process. Selections are done in two ways. One based on GATE/ GPAT Exam and other based on Qualifying Exam. The students want admission required to register for the counseling process as per the schedule.

    Students can check their Counselling status, Merit list and other important information regarding admission by logging into their account. Further, a Common Merit List is released, after which the students are offered with Allocation Letters.

    All the selected students required to download the Allocation Letter and they also required to pay the Pre-Admission fees. Students then required to report to the Counselling venue along with the following documents for documents verification.

    • Degree Certificate and Mark sheets.
    • Class 10 and 12 Mark sheet.
    • GATE/ GPAT Rank/ Score Card, if applicable.
    • Category Certificate, if applicable.
    • Domicile Certificate, if applicable.
    • Character certificate.
    • Income Certificate, if applicable.
    • Transfer Certificate.

    Reservation Criteria

    • All SC/ ST/ PC aspirants of Madhya Pradesh can avail the reservation facility at the time of admission.
    • Reservations are applicable at the time of admission as per the MP Government norms. Relaxation of marks is also offered to some of the students.
