Pravara Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) is a deemed university imparting professional education, research and training in different fields such as medical, dental and paramedical. The university has six constituent colleges and provides different undergraduate, postgraduate and diploma level programs.

The university provides admission to the following bachelor degree programmes via the faculty of medicine and faculty of dentistry: 

  • Bachelors of Dental Science (BDS)
  • Bachelors of Medicine and Bachelors of Surgery (MBBS)

Only aspirants with the relevant qualifying degree can register for the above-mentioned programmes. Seats are not reserved for people belonging to various categories such as SC/ST/BC etc.

Admission to the Under Graduate programmes is done on the basis of marks secured by the aspirants in the university entrance examination (AICET-UG). Aspirants can register for admission to MBBS / BDS programme by filling in the online application form and be submitting it along with the need procedures fee, on or before April 1, 2018 (tentative).

Eligibility Criteria for PIMS (Pravara Institute of Medical Sciences) MBBS and BDS Admissions 2018

MBBS & BDS

Period of the Programme: 4 years and 1 year of mandatory rotatory internship.

Eligibility:

  • The aspirant should have passed qualifying examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/ Biotechnology (which shall comprise practical test in these subjects) and English personally. Aspirant should have passed with at least 50% of marks (40% for SC, ST, VJNT & OBC) in all the above subjects taken together and each subject personally
  • Aspirants qualified (10+2) under a foreign system in India, need to obtain equivalence certificate from AIU (Association of Indian Universities, New Delhi) to apply for MBBS / BDS programme
  • Aspirants who are appearing for the qualifying examination in February/March 2018 are also applicable to appear for AICET-Under Graduate 2018. However, they must fulfil the eligibility conditions at the time of counseling
  • Aspirants should have passed the Higher Secondary Course (10+2)/Intermediate/ Pre-degree /Pre-professional/Pre-medical / first, second or third year of B.Sc. examination or any other examination recognised as equivalent thereto from a recognised board/university/college
  • Aspirants should be of Indian origin and must be must be born on or before December 31, 1999

Note: Aspirant has to undergo professional training for 1 year for admission under MBBS/BDS programme in case the course content is not as prescribed for 10+2 education structure of the National Committee.

MDS & MBBS

Aspirants can apply for admission via online/offline registration procedure and submit a finished application before April 1, 2018 (tentative) (April 7, 2018 (tentative) along with the late fee of Rs. 2000/-). Ahmednagar, (Maharashtra State)

  • Aspirants can also submit finished applications between April 1, 2018 (tentative) and April 7, 2018 (tentative), along with the additional late fees of Rs. 2000/- and the entrance fee

 

The aspirants should write their full name, address and application form number on the reverse side of the demand draft (DD)
  • Finished applications, in all respects, along with the demand draft and relevant documents should reach, before April 1, 2018 (tentative), the following address:

    Dist. All fields in the application form should be correctly and clearly filled-in with the relevant information.

    • Aspirants can also download the printed form available at the university office and submit it upon completion along with the entrance fee of Rs. 1700/- via DD.
    • The aspirant can purchase the printed application form in person from the university website upon submitting the fee of Rs. 1500/- via demand draft (DD) drawn from any nationalised bank in favour of “Pravara Institute of Medical Sciences, Loni” and payable at Pune - Service Discipline.

    Admission to the MBBS / BDS courses is done on the basis of aspirant’s performance as per merit in PIMS-AICET-Under Graduate 2018.


    Reservation of PIMS (Pravara Institute of Medical Sciences) MBBS and BDS Admissions 2018

    General Category: 85% seats of each course are situated in this category. The admission to this category will be made on the basis of interest- the merit of the aspirants at AICET.
    FN (Foreign Nationals) / PIO (Persons of Indian Origin) / NRI (Non-Resident Indians) Category: 15% seats of each course are situated in this category.

    SC/ST/NT & OBC aspirants need to attach caste verification certificates along with the finished applications.

    The aspirant must bring original certificates and three sets of attested photocopies of the following documents only at the time of counseling:
