Pravara Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) is a deemed university imparting professional education, research and training in different fields such as medical, dental and paramedical. The university has six constituent colleges and provides different undergraduate, postgraduate and Diploma level programs.

The university provides admission to the following bachelor degree programmes via the faculty of allied sciences to its students every year: 

  • Post-Basic B.Sc. Nursing
  • Bachelors of Physiotherapy (BPT)
  • B.Sc. Nursing

Only aspirants with the relevant qualifying degree can register for the above-mentioned programmes. Seats are not reserved for people belonging to various categories such as SC/ST/BC etc.

Admission to the above-mentioned programmes is done on the basis of marks secured by the aspirants in the university entrance examination (AICET-ASUG). Aspirants can register for admission to the above-mentioned programme by filling in the online application form and be submitting it along with the need procedures fee, on or before June 8, 2018 (tentative).

Eligibility Criteria for Pravara Institute of Medical Sciences B.Sc. Nursing and BPT Admissions 2018

Bachelor of Physiotherapy [BPT]

Period of the Programme: 4½ years + 6 months internship

Eligibility:

  • Aspirants who are appearing for the qualifying examination in February/March 2018 are also applicable to appear for PIMS AICET-ASUnder Graduate 2018. However, they must fulfil the eligibility conditions at the time of counseling
  • Aspirants should be of Indian origin and must be must be born on or before December 31, 1997
  • The aspirant should have passed the qualifying examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/ Biotechnology (which shall comprise practical test in these subjects) and English personally. Aspirant should have passed with at least 50% of marks (40% for SC, ST, VJNT & OBC) in all the above subjects taken together and each subject personally
  • Aspirants should have finished the Higher Secondary Course (10+2)/CBSE/any other examination recognised as equivalent thereto from a recognised board/university/college

B.Sc. Nursing (Post-Basic)

Period of the Programme: 2 years

Eligibility:

  • The aspirant must have passed GNM (General Nursing & Midwifery) course from INC recognised institution.
  • Aspirant must have passed HSC (or equivalent) examination from Arts, Science or Commerce faculty.

The aspirant should be registered as R.N. & R.M. with the State Nurses Registration Council. A male nurse trained in the implementation of new integrated course besides being registered as a nurse with State Nurses Registration Council shall produce evidence of training approved by INC for a similar

Bachelor of Science [B.Sc] (Nursing)

Period of the Programme: 4 years

Eligibility:

  • Aspirants should be of Indian origin and must be must be born on or before December 31, 1997
  • The aspirant should have passed the qualifying examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/ Biotechnology (which shall comprise practical test in these subjects) and English personally. Aspirant should have passed with at least 45% of marks (40% for SC, ST, VJNT & OBC) in all the above subjects taken together and each subject personally
  • Aspirants should have finished the Higher Secondary Course (10+2)/CBSE/any other examination recognised as equivalent thereto from a recognised board/university/college


Application Procedure for PIMS B.Sc. Nursing and BPT Admissions 2018

Bachelor of Physiotherapy [BPT], B.Sc. Nursing (Post-Basic) & Bachelor of Science [B.Sc] (Nursing)

Aspirants can apply for admission via online/offline registration procedure and submit a finished application before June 8, 2018 (tentative). The aspirants should write their full name, address and application form number on the reverse side of the demand draft (DD)

    • The aspirant can purchase the printed application form in person from the university office upon submitting the fee of Rs. 700/- via demand draft (DD) drawn from any nationalised bank in favour of “Pravara Institute of Medical Sciences, Loni” and payable at Pune - Service Discipline.
    • Aspirants can also download the printed form available at the university office and submit it upon completion along with the entrance fee of Rs. 950/- via DD. Rehata

    Selection Procedure for PIMS (Pravara Institute of Medical Sciences) B.Sc. Nursing and BPT Admissions 2018

    Bachelor of Physiotherapy [BPT], B.Sc. Nursing (Post-Basic) & Bachelor of Science [B.Sc] (Nursing)

    Admission of aspirants to above mentioned Under Graduate program will be done on the basis of their performance in the All India Entrance Test (AICET-ASUG) organizeed by PIMS University, governed by Admission Committee consisting of experienced persons.


    Reservation Criteria of PIMS B.Sc. Nursing and BPT Admissions 2018

    General Category: 85% seats of each course are situated in this category. The admission to this category will be made on the basis of interest- the merit of the aspirants at AICET.

    FN (Foreign Nationals) / PIO (Persons of Indian Origin) / NRI (Non-Resident Indians) Category: 15% seats of each course are situated in this category.


    Important Notes for PIMS (Pravara Institute of Medical Sciences) B.Sc. Nursing and BPT Admissions 2018

    SC/ST/NT & OBC aspirants need to attach caste verification certificates along with the finished applications.

    The aspirant must bring original certificates and three sets of attested photocopies of the following documents only at the time of counseling:   

    1. HSC/CBSE/other equivalent mark sheet   
    2. PIMS- AICET-ASUnder Graduate 2018 Admit Card
    3. PIMS-AICET-ASUnder Graduate 2018 Marks Statement
    4. Medical fitness certificate from a registered medical practitioner

    Scholarship:

    The university provides Erasmus Mundus scholarship, a scheme for academic exchange funded by the European Commission. It offers selected undergraduate, graduate, doctoral and post-doctoral students as well as staff with financial means to cover travel, insurance, possible tuition, living expenses and housing.

    Hostel facility:

    University provides the hostel facility to the desirous aspirants in the respective constituent colleges.
