Periyar Maniammai University (PMU) is a deemed university in India accredited by NAAC. It provides different UG, Post Graduate and research programmes. The university aims at imparting academic excellence to help students develop the need skills required to build a fruitful career in the competitive world. PMU provides high-quality education in the field of Science, Engineering, Technology, Liberal Arts, and Literature. Under Graduate and Post Graduate programs provided by the university are taught by experienced and eligible faculty.

Periyar Maniammai University accepts students for the B. Arch. in NATA member universities. Total marks calculated would comprise 50% of NATA score and 50% of +2 marks. With NATA Entrance you can apply for B. Arch. program based on the NATA exam score and +2 level marks i.e. appearing for the entrance is mandatory.

NATA is an online computer based test for which you required to register separately.

You can appear for the NATA exam a maximum of five times within two years from the date of the first attempt. The best score out of the five would be chosen and would be valid till 2years from the date of the first attempt.

PMU B.Arch Admissions 2018 Eligibility Criteria


B. Arch. The eligibility criteria of the program are mentioned below. is a 5-year undergraduate program the total number of seats available is 60. Program.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Aspirants must have 10+3 Diploma (any stream) recognized by Central/State Governments with 50% aggregate mark        
  • You must have eligible the NATA exam with minimum 40% marks.
  • Aspirants must have International Baccalaureate Diploma, after 10 years of schooling with not less than 50% marks in aggregate and with Mathematics as the mandatory subject of examination.
  • Minimum 50% marks in aggregate with Mathematics as the subject of examination at the 10+2 level.
Aspirants must fulfill any of the following eligibility requirements to get admission in B. Arch.

PMU B.Arch Admissions 2018 Application Procedure


  1. Aspirants must visit the following link: in order to download the application form and the admission prospectus.
  2. Fill in the application form with complete details cautiously.
  3. Choose to pay the application fee of Rs.600/- (Rs.500/- for SC/ST/PwD) via DD drawn in favor of “The registrar, PMU” payable at Thanjavur or online.
  4. Submit the application form and keep the printed copy of the submitted application form.

Aspirants must submit the following documents when need in order to complete the admission procedure successfully:

  • Passport size Photos 5 Nos.
  • Transfer Certificate
  • HSC Mark sheet
  • NATA Scorecard
  • Citizenship (Family card alloted by Civil supply office)
  • Sports, NCC, and other co- and extra-curricular activities
  • S.S.L.C Mark sheet
  • Community Certificate
  • Medical fitness certificate and Blood group certificate
  • Degree (Under Graduate & PG) Mark sheet

PMU B.Arch Admissions 2018 Selection Procedure


Aspirants are selected on the basis of the marks secured in 10+2 or equivalent and Architecture Aptitude Test (NATA)

The following shall be given weightage:

  • Qualifying Examination i.e. 10+2 (or) 10+3 years Diploma recognized by the Central/ State Government (or) IB Diploma and/or other tests (50% of Marks obtained in Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry or Biology in case of other state students)
  • Architecture aptitude test (NATA)


The merit list is prepared considering both the parameters mentioned above.
