Dr. Panjabrao Deshmukh Krishi Vidyapeeth is an agricultural university situated in Akola, Maharashtra. Since it's founded in 1969, it has continuously grown and empowered its student to work and contribute in varied fields of agricultural sciences. With over 20 post graduation courses and 6 Doctorate departments, the university also has 20 research stations providing quality education to students from all over the country.

The university provides different Post-Graduate courses in the field of agricultural, biotechnology, engineering and management. Students will at least 5.5 CGPA or equivalent in the qualifying degree examination are applicable to apply for the courses.

Admission of the aspirants to the courses is done on the basis of Common Entrance Test, organized by the Maharashtra Agriculture University Examination Board (MAUEB). Special seats are reserved for students who successfully complete the All India Common Entrance Test, held by India Council of Agriculture and Research.

The aspirant can register themselves for admission by submitting online applications along with the processing fee of Rs. 600/- (Rs. 300/- in case of SC/ST/OBC aspirants).

ME/M.Tech

  • Upon successful submission of online forms, the aspirant should send its downloaded copy along with all the self-attested copies of his/her relevant documents to the following address:

  • The aspirant can download the prospectus and related application form available at the official MCAER website.
  • In order to clear the application procedure, aspirants must submit the registration fee of Rs. 600/- (Rs. 300/- for reserved category aspirants) via Challan in State Bank of India disciplines or via Debit Card, Credit Card and Net Banking. Aspirants can also submit the fee by Demand Draft (DD) drawn in favor of ‘Financial Advisor, MCAER, Pune’

Admission Procedure of M.Sc and M.Tech Program

ME/M.Tech , M.Sc & M.Sc (Agriculture)

  • Common Entrance Test will carry 70% weight and degree examination marks consists of 30% weight in the selection procedure.
  • Selection will be done on the basis of merit i.e. marks obtained in degree examination and the Common Entrance Test organized by the Maharashtra Agriculture University Examination Board.

Reservation Criteria for for M.Sc and M.Tech Program

Major Criteria:

  • 25% seats are to be filled by All India Common Entrance Exam held by Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), New Delhi.
  • Rest of the 50% seats will be allotted to aspirants who have domicile of Maharashtra School Leaving Certificate containing the place of birth from Maharashtra or birth certificate allowed by Maharashtra State and who have passed degree examination from Maharashtra Agricultural Universities.
  • 2% seats are allotted to students from the Other States (OS).
  • After deducting the ICAR and OS seats, first 50% seats will be allotted to aspirants who have a domicile of Maharashtra or School Leaving Certificate containing the place of Maharashtra.

Other Criteria:

  • 7% seats are reserved for Scheduled Tribes.
  • 6% seats are reserved for Agriculturist and Children of Agriculturist who possess at least qualification or experience in Agriculture.
  • 8% seats are reserved for Nomadic Tribes.
  • 30% seats are reserved for Female aspirants.
  • 19% seats are reserved for Other Backward Classes.
  • 13% seats are reserved for Schedule Caste.
