National University of Advanced Legal Studies, Ernakulam provides a 5-year B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) degree Programme and one year LLM programme to its students every year.

B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) Degree Programme provides courses on frontier areas of law such as Maritime Law, Media & Telecommunications Law, Forensic Science, and Psychological Medicine & Law. The two subject groups that are currently provided by the University of LLM are International Trade Law and Constitutional and Administrative Law.

Aspirants will be shortlisted for admission to B.A.LL.B. and LL.M. courses on the basis of marks scored in CLAT examination. Those want admission can register themselves by filling the online application form via the official CLAT website and submitting it within the stipulated time.

NUALS B.A.LL.B and LL.M. Admissions 2018 Eligibility Criteria

Bachelor of Arts + Bachelor of Law [BALLB] {Hons.}

  • The aspirant must not be more than 20 years of age as on 1st July, 2016. However, aspirants belonging to SC/ST (declared applicable for reservation in the State of Kerala) and Persons with Disability (PWD) must not be more than 22 years of age as on July 1, 2016
  • The aspirants who are applying for CLAT must have passed the Higher Secondary Certificate examination (10+2) or an examination recognised as equivalent thereto with minimum 45 % marks (SC/ST/SPA)

LLM

The aspirant must have finished LL.B. or equivalent degree in law examination with an at least of 55% marks in case of Unreserved/OBC/ SAP (Specially-abled persons) categories and 50% marks in case of SC/ST category & Especially Disabled Persons (SAP)

  • Upon successful registration, aspirants will receive CAPS User ID and Password on the E-mail address and Mobile number offered by them
  • After logging in with his/her User ID and password, the aspirant should fill the online application form and upload his/her scanned photograph, signature, birth certificate and category certificate
  • Finished applications, along with the fee and necessary enclosures, should be submitted, in person or by post, within the stipulated time to the following address:
  • The aspirant will then proceed to the “Payment of the Application Fee” section where the fee can be submitted either online or via Challan. Aspirants can submit the application fee of Rs. 4000/- (unreserved/ OBC/ SAP category aspirants) and Rs. 3500/- (SC/ST category aspirants) via net banking, debit card/credit card
  • Aspirants can register themselves via CAPS (CLAT Online Application Processing System) only, available at the official CLAT website
  • The aspirant can also generate a Bank Challan, take its printout and submit the fee via it, in cash, at any ICICI discipline. DD should be drawn in favor of ‘Registrar, Damodaram Sanjivayya National Law University’ and payable at Visakhapatnam

Enclosures for Indian aspirants:

  1. Individual information (name, E-mail address, mobile number, date of birth, parent’s name, parent’s mobile number, etc.)
  2. Address for communication (including PIN code)
  3. Essential Qualification details (Percentage of marks/CGPA, University/college information)
  4. Programme in which the aspirant wishes to appear (Under Graduate Course or Post Graduate Course)
  5. Three choices of CLAT examination cities
  6. Front facing Passport size complete photograph of the Aspirant with complete lenses
  7. Signature of aspirant
  8. Scanned copy of SC/ST/SAP Certificates in pdf pattern only (if eligible)
  9. Scanned copy of Domicile Category in pdf pattern only (if eligible)
  10. Net banking login and password to make the application fee payment through online net banking mode.
  11. In case the payment is to be made via debit card/credit card, then the aspirant needs to have the information like debit card/credit card number, password, CVV number etc.

Enclosures for NRI/ foreign nationals/ NRI sponsored category aspirants:

  1. Copy of the Passport of the participant / Sponsor.
  2. Latest Character certificate from the institution last attended indicating that he/she has never been established guilty of misconduct during the study period.
  3. School Leaving Certificate/ College Leaving Certificate.
  4. Statement of marks at the qualifying examination (Intermediate/PUC/HSC/Etc.) and 10th standard.
  5. Copy of the statement of marks at the Qualifying Examination (i.e. equivalent to Intermediate /PUC /HSC /etc) and percentage/conversion certificate in case of Grades.
  6. Copy of the Birth Certificate.
  7. Medical Certificate.
  8. Eight Stamp Sized Photographs of the Aspirant.
  9. One Photograph of the Local Guardian (who shall be a near/close relative) if any.
  10. Migration Certificate
Upon successful payment, the same will be updated in the aspirant’s profile on the CLAT Online Application Interface
  • Upon successful payment, the aspirant should download the clearly filled-in application with fee payment details for future references
  • For International aspirants:

    • NRI/ foreign nationals/ NRI sponsored category aspirants can register themselves by downloading the application form and submitting it upon completion, along with the application fee of Rs. 5000/- via DD.

    Bachelor of Arts + Bachelor of Law [BALLB] {Hons.}

    • Admission to the above programmes shall be done via counselling organized by CLAT officials. The basis of allocation of seats shall be ‘merit-cum-preference’ i.e. CLAT score and order of preference mentioned by the aspirant in the CLAT application form. Online counselling shall start after the declaration of CLAT results.
    • At the time of counseling, aspirants have to carry relevant certificates/documents in original allocated by the competent authority in support of the different claims made by the aspirants and clear their admission formalities.
