Nalanda Open University, Patna, also known as NOU, is an open university which was founded in 1987. The university offers numerous undergraduate, postgraduate, PhD, diploma and certificate courses via distance and open education.
Nalanda Open University offers B.Ed program in different branches and admission to the program is on the basis of eligibility followed by the entrance examination. The total number of seats provideed are 500 and period of the course is 2 years.
Shortlisting will be followed by B.Ed entrance examination organizeed by the university.
An application fee is INR 350 if the form is obtained from sales counter and INR 400 in case of registered post.

An aspirant must have a Bachelor’s degree in any subject with minimum 50 percent marks at the graduate level from a recognised university.
Candidate must have two years of teaching experience.

Selection Procedure of NOU (Nalanda Open University) B.Ed Admission 2018
Admission is based on the basis of a preliminary scrutiny but the candidates will be large in number, so the university will organize a written test as a selection procedure in the B.Ed course.
University will admit candidates following reservation rules of the state government
In this selection procedure, all the participants will have to appear in the Entrance Test

Out of all the participants appeared in Entrance Test, 500 aspirants will be selected for admission to B.Ed. course.
Original documents i.e. mark sheet of qualifying examination and certificate of matriculation exam will be returned to the aspirants immediately after verification and the attested photocopy of the document will be kept by the university for the record.
Three self-addressed envelopes of size 10 x 4.5 inch each i.e. one ticket-size photograph will be affixed on the admission form at the space offered, another photograph will be posted on the identity card and the third will be a need for identity card register. important; list-style-type:disc">Aspirants are advised to retain a photocopy of the demand draft for their own record.
The payment must be made via demand draft in favour of Nalanda Open University, payable at Patna.
The aspirant selected for admission must pay the need charges at the time of admission. important; list-style-type:disc">25% fee exemption will be given to women want admission in any course.
On the reverse side of the Demand Draft, the aspirant must write his/her name, admission form number and the name of the course he has applied for.
