Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS) is a private university situated in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India.  It has been honored "Five Star" rating and "A" grade by the NAAC and UGC respectively. The institute was founded in 1981. NMIMS has also been honored an "A***" rating by CRISIL. The institute was granted "Deemed University" status by the UGC in 2003 and can hence award full academic degrees to its students.

NMIMS has grown to being not only one of the top-10 B-schools in India but has also emerged as a multi-disciplinary University with four campuses at Mumbai, Shirpur, Bengaluru & Hyderabad and nine constituent schools that comprise Management, Engineering, Pharmacy, Architecture, Commerce, Business Economics, Science, Law, Aviation & Distance Learning. It has more than 12000 students and 450 full-time faculty members are part of India's most sought-after academic community i.e. NMIMS.

The university invites applications for admission to the MBA Programme, MBA Human Resources, MBA Pharmaceutical Management, and Post-Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) Programme. The availability of seats in all the programmes is 500 seats for the MBA Programme and 60 each in the MBA Human Resources and Pharmaceutical Management. The PGDM Bengaluru campus has 180 seats and the Hyderabad campus 90 seats available.

The admission to all the programmes will be based on the NMAT by GMAC exam.

  • You should have a Bachelor's Degree (in the 10+2+3/4 pattern) in any branch from a recognized University with minimum 50% marks in the aggregate.
  • You will be given preference if you have two and more years of post-qualification work experience.

For Foreign category students: You should have an AIU certificate if you have finished their graduation from overseas Universities.

MBA Pharmaceutical Management

Eligibility Criteria:

You should have a Bachelor's Degree (in the 10+2+3/4 pattern) with minimum 50% marks in the aggregate from a recognized University in either of the following:

  • Pharmacy, Science, Life Sciences, MBBS, BDS, BHMS, BAMS, B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Biotechnology.
  • PG degree holder in Economics, Psychology, and Sociology.
  • B. Tech. or Bio-Medical

You will be given preference if you have worked in Pharmaceutical Companies for more than two years.

Step To Apply

MBA/PGDM

For NMAT by GMAC Registration:

Step 1: You must first register at the NMAT by GMAC website online by clicking on “Register Now” in the Quick Links on the right side of the screen.

Step 2: You should then register with a valid email ID and a new window will appear prompting you to complete the online application form. You will be able to download your hall ticket after completing the registration.

Step 3: You required to complete the online application form concerned to your personal, educational and work experience. You must read the Terms and Conditions and click on the “I Agree” button to accept.

Step 4: Once you have verified the details in your Application, you required to click on the Submit button to complete your registration.

Step 5: The next screen will display your unique NMAT by GMAC Registration Number.

Step 6: You are need to pay Rs. 1600 as Exam fee for successful completion of your registration.

An authentication email will be sent to the email you offered. Choose NMIMS under the school's section to send your scores under the "Programme Details" section.

Step 7: After successful registration, you will receive an email with your unique NMAT by GMAC Registration Number. You will be able to proceed with registration only after validating your email ID.



Application Fee: You should click on the “Click here to make payment” link that appears along with the NMAT by GMAC Registration Number. You should use this NMAT by GMAC Registration Number for all future correspondence with GMAC.

Step 8: After your application and fee is accepted by GMAC, you will receive an email with your username and password to logon to another website and schedule your test on a preferred date and location subject to availability.

Your registration is now complete.

For NMIMS Admission:

You should fill in the application form on the website to confirm your candidature.

In case of reapplication, you will have to complete the program selection procedure again by using the same ID/password used at the time of registration. The last preferences you select will be taken as your final preferences for further selection procedure.

You should then select the programme you are applying for.

Application Fee: You should pay the following Application fee either via Credit card, Debit Card or Internet Banking.

  • Rs. 1500 if applying for both full time MBA course or PGDM course
  • Rs. 1100 for either full time MBA course or PGDM course

You should select your choice of centre from the given 18 centres across India.

Your registration is now complete. You can pay by Debit Card/Credit Card/Net banking or Demand Draft of any bank alloted in favour of Graduate Management Global Connection (India) Private Limited payable at Gurgaon. The Make Payment screen will display the payment options.

Admission Procedure

MBA/PGDM

There shall be three stages in the selection procedure.

  1. Stage 1: It shall include of NMAT by GMAC Exam.
  2. Stage 2: If you get shortlisted, you shall appear for Stage2 which includes of Case Discussion (CD)and Personal Interview (PI).
  3. Stage 3: It will involve your academic performance, relevant work experience and other similar inputs.

The NMAT by GMAC exam will be an objective type multiple-choice test. In case you are taking more than one attempt, the score (the total score & its respective sectional score) which makes you qualified as per the cut offs declared by NMIMS, will be considered for short listing for subsequent procedure.

There shall be no negative marking in the paper. The distribution of the number of question in each section and time allotted to each section is as follows:

You must be able to perform well not only overall in the paper but also individually in the separate sections as the score of each section and the overall score will be used for shortlisting for the second stage of the selection procedure as well as in the final ranking.

However, if you are not satisfied by your NMAT by GMAC score in the first attempt, you may appear again for the test by going via the full procedure as a fresh test by visiting the website mandatorily & logging in with the allotted username and password. It will consist of 120 questions in a period of 2 hours.

Reservation Criteria

Reservation of seats for the widows / wards of armed forces personnel killed / disabled in action or during peace time and wards of Kashmiri migrants will be applicable offerd such aspirants successfully meet the specified cut-offs and eligibility criteria of the respective program applied for at the time of registration and also qualify the NMAT Test cut off.
