MUHS (Maharashtra University of Health Sciences) MD/MS/MDS Admission 2018

Maharashtra University of Health Sciences (MUHS) invites aspirants to join their different Post Graduate courses. MUHS is situated in Nashik, Maharashtra. The government created Admissions Regulating Authority and State Common Entrance Test Cell to organize an entrance test to admit students for MD/MS/MDS courses. The test PGD-CET was formed for MDS course and PGM-CET was created for admissions to MD/MS courses. It was founded on 3rd June 1998 by the Govt. of Maharashtra. The forms can be established on the university's website. The admission to M.Sc. Pharmaceutical Medicine is based on a separate test organized by the University. The admission is purely based on the rank obtained by the aspirants in the merit list of these exams.

Examination: The Govt. Of Maharashtra has founded "Admissions Regulating Authority and State Common Entrance Test Cell" to organize PGM/PGD - CET for the selection of aspirants for Postgraduate Medical and Dental courses.

The test will be organized in 4 cities, namely Mumbai, Pune, Nagpur, and Aurangabad. The organizing of the examination will be English. The period of PGM-CET will be 3½ hours long and will include 300 multiple-choice questions. PGD-CET will be 1½ hours long with 100 multiple-choice questions. There will be NO negative marking. Each question will be of 1 mark.

Eligibility Criteria

  • The aspirant should be a citizen of India.
  • The aspirant should have finished one-year internship training on, or before 31st March (tentative).
  • The aspirant should have passed his/her final exams in M.B.B.S./B.D.S. from a college located in Maharashtra.
  • Aspirants who have finished M.B.B.S./B.D.S. from outside Maharashtra, but are a domicile of Maharashtra and selected in the 15% All India quota are qualified.

Master of Science (Pharmaceutical Medicine)

Duration: 2 years

Seats: 60

Fee: Rs.1,20,500/-

The aspirant should have a degree in MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BUMS, BHMS, B.Sc./M.Sc.(Bio-Chemistry, Microbiology, Botany, Zoology, Physiology, Pharmacology, Biotechnology), B.Pharm, or M.Pharm.

  • Application Procedure

    MD , MS & MDS

    1. The brochure and application forms can be downloaded from the website
    2. The aspirants have to fill the form online, after which a fee challan will be e-mailed to the aspirant.
    3.  The aspirant has to take a printout of the challan and pay the challan of Rs.3,000/- at any discipline of the bank.
    4. Then, the aspirants have to go back to and log in with the username and password offered to them during filling the form.
    5. Aspirants can then verify their forms and fill the challan details.
    6. No mailing of form or documents is needed.
    7. The hall tickets will be available on after the specified date.

    • SSC Board Certificate or Birth Certificate (Certificate of age)
    • Bonafide Certificate from Dean / Principal of the college (if applicable) OR Gap affidavit on stamp paper of Rs. 20/-

    Examination: An entrance exam will be organized in Nashik which would contain multiple-choice questions. The test will be based on the general knowledge concerned with health sciences. Degree Mark sheet (Compulsory) in case of aspirants having P.G. There would be no negative marking.

    Selection Procedure

    MD , MS & MDS

    The aspirants will be selected on the merit list formed by the competent authority. The aspirants have to score a minimum of 50% (40% for reserved categories) marks in PGM/PGD -CET to be qualified for the admission.

    Master of Science (Pharmaceutical Medicine)

    1. The qualified aspirants would be shortlisted according to the marks obtained by them in the entrance exam.
    2. The shortlisted aspirants will, then, be called for an interview and counseling.
    3. The admission will only be final after all the documents are verified and the fees are paid.
