Mumbai University (MU), Mumbai, Maharashtra is one of the first three universities set up in India. The University was accorded 5-star status in 2001 & 'A' grade status in April 2012 by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). It has been granted University with Potential for Excellence (UPE) status by UGC and PURSE Scheme by DST. At the national level, it has excelled in sports, cultural and out-access activities.  Several private colleges in and around Mumbai are affiliated to MU. It has found its name in industrial & International collaborations and runs different professional courses.

In the last five years, it has seen 104% increase in undergraduate students. More than eighty of its teachers are on different professional bodies. Moreover, eighteen National/International awards are won by teachers in the last five years. The University of Mumbai is one of the largest universities in the world in terms of the number of students.

The University invites applications for admissions to the LLB and BBA-LLB Programme for the academic year 2018-19. The BBA LLB is an integrated programme of 5 years whereas LLB programme is a three-year course. The admission procedure starts from the first week of June 2018 with the Applications available online on the website. The admissions to the two programmes take place via MUCLET (Mumbai University Common Law Entrance Test) 2018 to be held on July 2nd, 2018 (tentative).

Eligiblity Criteria for MU (Mumbai University) LL.B,  BBA-LL.B Admissions 2018

Bachelor of Laws [L.L.B.] & Bachelor of Business Administration [BBA] + Bachelor of Laws [L.L.B.] {Hons.}

You should have completed the Class 12th examination from a recognised board with minimum 45% marks for general category and 40% marks in case of reserved category.

Age: You should not be more than 20 years of age as on July 1st, 2018 (tentative).

How to Apply for MU (Mumbai University) LL.B,  BBA-LL.B Admissions 2018?

You can find the Application Form online on the University website.

You should download and take a print out of the Application form and fill it with the need details. You should then affix a passport size photograph in the space offered.

Application Fee: You should pay the following application fee via a Demand Draft drawn in favour of β€œFinance and Accounts Officer, University of Mumbai” payable at Mumbai issues by any Nationalized bank:

  • Rs. 2000 for general category
  • Rs. 1000 for reserved category

Your name and contact number should be completely mentioned in the Demand Draft.

Enclosures: You should submit the following documents along with the Application

  • 2 passport size photographs
  • Attested Copies of Mark sheet of SSC (10th or equivalent) & HSC [(10+2) or equivalent]
  • Attested Copy of Domicile Certificate (if eligible)
  • Attested Copy of Caste Certificate (if eligible)

You should attach two photocopies of certificate sets attested (by a Gazetted Officer or Notary Public or Principal or Head of Educational Institution or a Nationalized Bank’s Manager).

Selection Procedure for MU (Mumbai University) LL.B,  BBA-LL.B Admissions 2018

Bachelor of Laws [L.L.B.] & Bachelor of Business Administration [BBA] + Bachelor of Laws [L.L.B.] {Hons.}

You will be selected on the basis of the MUCLET (Mumbai University Common Law Entrance Test) 2018. The exam follows the pen-paper method where responses should be marked using a black ball-point pen only. It is an all-India examination and your selection will be based on the merit rank obtained in this examination.

It would contain a total of 100 questions to be responded in two hours. The entrance exam shall be organizeed only in the English Language.

The questions for MUCLET includes of multiple choice questions from the areas such as Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension, Quantitative Aptitude, Logical/Abstract Reasoning, and General Awareness.

Reservation Criteria for MU LL.B,  BBA-LL.B Admissions 2018

85% of the total seats will be reserved for a student with domicile in the State of Maharashtra.
