Manipal University is a deemed university situated in Manipal, Karnataka, India. The university has its discipline campuses in many parts of the country (Bangalore, Mangalore, Sikkim, Jaipur) and abroad (Dubai, Malaysia and Antigua). It is a member of the Association of Commonwealth Universities and provides around 104 courses. The university provides admission to the following Under Graduate courses:

  1. MBBS
  2. BDS
  3. B. Pharm.

Only aspirants with relevant qualifying degree can register for the above-mentioned programmes. Seats are reserved for people belonging to various categories such as SC/ST/BC etc.

Aspirants can register for admission by filling in the online application form and be submitting the need procedures fee, on or before 28 March 2018 (tentative). Admission to the graduate programmes is based on the marks secured by the aspirants in the qualifying degree examination and Entrance examination score.

  • The aspirant should have passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English as mandatory subjects.
  • Aspirant should have finished 17 years of age before applying for the admission


Application Procedure of MU (Manipal University) MBBS, BDS and B.Pharm Admissions 2018

BDS , B.Pharm & MBBS

Aspirants must apply for admission via online registration procedure and submit a finished application before 28 March 2018 (tentative). All fields in the application form should be correctly and clearly filled-in with the relevant information.

The aspirant should log on to the university website and follow the given steps:

  1. In the “Admissions” section, click on “Online Application” Link
  2. Click on “Apply Now” button and fill in the application form
  3. Click on “Save” button if you required to make any changes or click on “Submit” button if all the particulars are correct
  4. Upon clicking “Submit” button, pay the registration fee via the available online payment modes
  5. Upon successful submission, the aspirant will receive a confirmation mail along with your Login ID and Application Number
  6. Aspirant must download the finished applications for subsequent use
  7. After clear submission of the application form, application status can be tracked to know whether the form has been submitted online or received offline.
  8. Download the Manipal University Hall Ticket 2018 from “MUOET 2018 Slot booking”.
  9. Download and print the admit card and appear in the entrance test on scheduled date at the assigned test centre.
  10. Preserve the application number/ID, password and hall ticket for later use.

BDS , B.Pharm & MBBS

Admission to different courses is done on the basis of rank achieved in All India Manipal University Online University Test (MU-OET) 2017.

For foreign/NRI category admission is done on the basis of qualifying degree merit and first come-first cater basis


15% of seats are reserved for international students under the foreign/NRI category.

Many scholarships and free ships are provideed for different meritorious and deserving aspirants enrolled in the above programs.


Two scholarships of Rs. 30,000 each for Medical/Dental science and engineering science is given for the final year students who are good in both academics and sports.


10% tuition fee waiver for admission to all courses of Manipal University for Konkani Speaking students only.


Aspirants admitted to MBBS course from rank 101 to 500 and from rank 101 to 1000 B.D.S & B. Scholarship amount shall be determined based on the annual income of parents (from all sources) as mentioned below:
