Manonmaniam Sundaranar University is a premier university of Tamil Nadu. It was founded in 1990 with the aim to offer higher education opportunities to students in a variety of streams. There are 24 academic departments in the university which provide Part-time, Full-time Postgraduate, M.Phil. and Ph.D. programmes in different branches.
The basic requirement for admission to M.Phil. the program at Manonmaniam Sundaranar University is a post-graduate degree in a relevant branch. Aspirants want admission in M.Phil. must have a postgraduate degree in relevant fields with an at least of 55% marks in aggregate from MSU. However, such aspirants will have to submit their final year certificates at the time of admission. Aspirants with an equivalent degree allowed by any other University and accepted by MSU as equivalent can also apply for M.Phil. program.
A research background at Post-graduate level is desirable but not necessary.
Aspirants awaiting their final year examination results may also apply. There is no age limit for aspirants applying to the M.Phil. program.
The admission procedure for the M.Phil. programs at MSU starts from May 05, 2018 (tentative). The application form will be available for download on the official website of the University. No. An aspirant is advised to check their eligibility and read the admission booklet cautiously before filling the form. The merit list for admission to M.Phil. Program is prepared on the basis of marks scored in the Qualifying examination, i.e. post-graduate degree, and marks scored in the Entrance examination. The list of need documents is given below:
