Manonmaniam Sundaranar University is a premier university of Tamil Nadu. It was founded in 1990 with the aim to offer higher education opportunities to students in a variety of streams. There are 24 academic departments in the university which provide Part-time, Full-time Postgraduate, M.Phil. and Ph.D. programmes in different branches. 

The basic requirement for admission to M.Phil. the program at Manonmaniam Sundaranar University is a post-graduate degree in a relevant branch. MSU M.Phil. Admission 2018 Eligibility Criteria

M.Phil/Ph.D in Arts , M.Phil/Ph.D in Management & M.Phil/Ph.D in Commerce

Aspirants want admission in M.Phil. must have a postgraduate degree in relevant fields with an at least of 55% marks in aggregate from MSU. However, such aspirants will have to submit their final year certificates at the time of admission.  Aspirants with an equivalent degree allowed by any other University and accepted by MSU as equivalent can also apply for M.Phil. program.

A research background at Post-graduate level is desirable but not necessary.

Aspirants awaiting their final year examination results may also apply. There is no age limit for aspirants applying to the M.Phil. program.

MSU M.Phil. Admission 2018 How to Apply?

M.Phil/Ph.D in Arts , M.Phil/Ph.D in Management & M.Phil/Ph.D in Commerce

The admission procedure for the M.Phil. programs at MSU starts from May 05, 2018 (tentative). The application form will be available for download on the official website of the University. No. An aspirant is advised to check their eligibility and read the admission booklet cautiously before filling the form. The draft or challan must be drawn for both Application fee and entrance test fee. 32723644765 drawn in the favor of β€œThe Registrar, Manonmaniam Sundaranar University, Tirunelveli”, payable at Tirunelveli, Tamilnadu. The last date to submit filled-in application form is May 31, 2017 (tentative).

The self-attested Xerox of the following certificates should be sent along with the set of original certificates with the application form(the original certificates will be returned after the verification):

    1. Transfer Certificate/ Migration Certificate/ Evidence of Date of Birth.
    2. Statement of Marks of 10th and 12th/ Diploma for Under Graduate Admission.
    3. Statement of Marks of 10th, 12th and Under Graduate and Provisional Certificate/ Degree Certificate for Post Graduate Admission.

MSU M.Phil. Admission 2018 Selection Procedure

M.Phil/Ph.D in Arts , M.Phil/Ph.D in Management & M.Phil/Ph.D in Commerce

The merit list for admission to M.Phil. Program is prepared on the basis of marks scored in the Qualifying examination, i.e. post-graduate degree, and marks scored in the Entrance examination. The list of need documents is given below:

  • Undergraduate Degree Mark Statement
  • 10+2 Mark Sheet
  • Post Graduate Degree Provisional Certificate / Original Degree or Diploma
  • Community Certificate(if eligible)
  • Post Graduate Marksheet; the aspirants awaiting the results required to submit mark statements up to IIIrd Semester and the Course Certificate from the Principal.
  • Transfer Certificate
  • Undergraduate Provisional Certificate / Original Degree or Diploma.
  • Secondary School Leaving Certificate
The questions will be of post-graduate level and will test the knowledge of an aspirant in the subject of their choice as also their aptitude for research.
