Maharashtra National Law University (MNLU) was founded in 2014. TISS has extended the support to MNLU Mumbai by opening all its academic frontier including Faculty/Library Support. The first batch of students for Under Graduate and Post Graduate programme was started with effect from 2015. The university shares its campus with Tata Institute of Social Sciences.

The university provides only 1 Postgraduate degree programme to its students every year i.e., LL.M. Only aspirants with the bachelor’s degree in law or any other equivalent degree are applicable for admission to the programme. in Law Pedagogy & Research.

Aspirants can register for admission by filling in the online application form and submitting the need procedures fee, on or before the last date. Admission to the LL.M. degree programme is done on the basis of marks secured by the aspirants in the CLAT examination.

Eligibility for MNLU (Maharashtra National Law University) LL.M. Admissions 2018


  • Aspirants must possess LL.B. or any other equivalent degree from a recognised university with at least 55% marks (for Unreserved/OBC/Specially Abled Persons) and 50% (in case of SC/ST category aspirants)
  • Aspirants whose are awaiting their qualifying examination results or are due to appear in the qualifying examination in March/April 2018 are also applicable to appear in CLAT-2018 examination

How To Apply for MNLU (Maharashtra National Law University) LL.M. Admissions 2018


  • After logging in with his/her User ID and password, the aspirant should fill the online application form and upload his/her scanned photograph, signature, birth certificate and category certificate
  • The aspirant will then proceed to the “Payment of the Application Fee” section where the fee can be submitted either online or via Challan. DD should be drawn in favour of ‘Registrar, Damodaram Sanjivayya National Law University’ and payable at Visakhapatnam
  • Upon successful registration, aspirants will receive CAPS User ID and Password on the E-mail address and Mobile number offered by them
  • Aspirants can register themselves via CAPS (CLAT Online Application Procedures System) only, available at the official CLAT website “”
  • Finished applications, along with the fee and necessary enclosures, should be submitted, in person or by post, within the stipulated time to the following address:

Post Box. Aspirants can submit the application fee of Rs. 4000/- (unreserved/ OBC/ SAP category aspirants) and Rs. 3500/- (SC/ST category aspirants) via net banking, debit card/credit card

  • Aspirants can also generate a Bank Challan, take its printout and submit the fee via it, in cash, at any ICICI discipline. 8338, Deonar
  • Upon successful payment, the same will be updated in the aspirant’s profile on the CLAT Online Application Interface
  • Upon successful payment, the aspirant should download the clearly filled-in application with fee payment details for future reference
  • For International aspirants:

    • NRI/ foreign nationals/ NRI sponsored category aspirants can register themselves by downloading the application form and submitting it upon completion, along with the application fee of Rs. 5000/- via DD.

    1. Individual information (name, E-mail address, mobile number, date of birth, parent’s name, parent’s mobile number, etc.)
    2. Address for communication (including PIN code)
    3. Essential Qualification details (Percentage of marks/CGPA, University/college information)
    4. Programme in which the aspirant wishes to appear (Under Graduate Course or Post Graduate Course)
    5. Three choices of CLAT examination cities
    6. Front facing Passport size complete photograph of the Aspirant with complete lenses
    7. Signature of aspirant
    8. Scanned copy of SC/ST/SAP Certificates in pdf pattern only (if eligible)
    9. Scanned copy of Domicile Category in pdf pattern only (if eligible)
    10. Net banking login and password to make the application fee payment through online net banking mode.
    11. In case the payment is to be made via debit card/credit card, then the aspirant needs to have the information like debit card/credit card number, password, CVV number etc.

    Enclosures for NRI/ foreign nationals/ NRI sponsored category aspirants:

    1. Copy of the Passport of the participant / Sponsor.
    2. Latest Character certificate from the institution last attended indicating that he/she has never been established guilty of disorganized during the study period.
    3. School Leaving Certificate/ College Leaving Certificate.
    4. Statement of marks at the qualifying examination (Intermediate/PUC/HSC/Etc.) and 10th standard.
    5. Copy of the statement of marks at the Qualifying Examination (i.e. equivalent to Intermediate /PUC /HSC /etc) and percentage/conversion certificate in case of Grades.
    6. Copy of the Birth Certificate.
    7. Medical Certificate.
    8. Eight Stamp Sized Photographs of the Aspirant.
    9. One Photograph of the Local Guardian (who shall be a near/close relative) if any.
