Mahatma Gandhi University, Kerala was famously known as MGU, is a UGC approved university which has grown to be amongst the top universities in India. It provides 300 academic programmes for undergraduate and postgraduate level all over India. The university provides the following Post Graduate courses to its students via MGU-CAT entrance exam:
Students who satisfy eligibility criteria can register for admission to the related Post Graduate programme by filling the application form and submitting the need fee via online payment modes. Admission in these programmes will be done on the basis of their performance in the university entrance examination (CAT-MGU), after which they will be called for counseling.

The university provides MA in the following branches:
Eligibility: Aspirant must possess Bachelors Degree in any subject with an at least of 45% marks.
Eligibility: Aspirant must be a Graduate in Economics/ Politics/ History/ Law with not less than 45% marks for Part III Or Bachelor’s Degree in English/ Sociology/Anthropology/ Psychology/ Geography/ Philosophy/Commerce with not less than 50% marks or Graduates in Science with not less than 60% marks for Part III
Eligibility: Aspirant should be a Graduate in the subject related with a at least of 45% marks in Part III or Graduate in Arts/Science with a at least of 50% marks in Part II Malayalam

M.Sc
The university provides M.Sc in the following branches:
Eligibility: Aspirant must have a degree in Arts with not less than 45% marks or any Science Degree with a at least of 50% marks
Eligibility: Aspirant must possess BA/B.Sc. in Psychology degree with at least 50% marks
Eligibility: Aspirant must have a B.Sc. Degree in Botany, Zoology, Biochemistry, Biophysics, Microbiology, Biotechnology, Chemistry or Physics with not less than 50% Marks in Part III of the respective subject
Eligibility: Aspirant must have a B.Sc. degree in Computer Science/ Computer Application/B.Sc. IT/B.Tech Computer Science/BCA or any other B.Sc. Degree with Computer Science as one of the Main Subjects with not less than 50% marks in optional subjects (Main & Subsidiaries.)
Eligibility: Aspirant must have a B.Sc. Degree in any of the Optional subjects (Botany/ Zoology/Chemistry/ Physics/ Geology/ Geography/Life Science/ Environment Science/ Environment Management/ Microbiology/ Biotechnology/ Biochemistry/ Plant or Animal Science/ Agriculture/ Fisheries/ Aquaculture/ Horticulture/ Forestry/ B.Tech. in Civil, Mechanical, Chemical, Environmental or equivalent examination with not less than 50% marks in Part III
Eligibility: Aspirant must have a B.Sc. Degree in any subject with not less than 50% marks in Part III
Eligibility: Aspirant must possess B.Sc. Degree in Chemistry with a at least of 50% marks in Part III (Mathematics and Physics as subsidiaries)
Eligibility: Aspirant should be a B.Sc. Degree in Physics with Mathematics as the subsidiary with not less than 50% marks in Part III.
Aspirants will be shortlisted for admission to M.Ed., LL.M and selected branches of M.Sc and MA on the basis of marks scored in the CAT-MGU entrance examination, organized by the university itself.
There are three types of reservation eligible in the CAT MGU examination. For such aspirants, there is a 3% seat reservation for all the programs.
