MGM Institute of Health Sciences (MGMIHS) was founded in 1956 under UGC Act and Accredited by NAAC. It is run by Mahatma Gandhi Mission Trust, along with a chain of several other colleges spread around the country providing quality education in multiple streams such as Engineering, Medical, Nursing, Management, Science, and Journalism and Fine Arts. The MGM Deemed University has been originally notified as a Deemed to be University in the name and style of “MGM Institute of Health Sciences vide Notification No. F.9-21/2005-U.3 (A) dated 30.08.2006 issued by the Government of India, Ministry of Human Resource Development, Department of Higher Education New Delhi. Following a letter issued by the University Grant Commission are allowing the Deemed Universities to use the word ‘University' with their name, the Board of Management MGM Institute of Health Sciences

Recognized by the Medical Council of India (MCI), the university offers B.Sc. (Paramedical) the programme at the undergraduate level in the following 7 branches:

  • Perfusion Technology
  • Medical Laboratory Technology
  • Cardiac Care Technology
  • Operation Theatre & Anaesthesia Technology
  • Dialysis Technology
  • Medical Imaging Technology
  • Optometry

Admission of aspirants to the above mentioned B.Sc. paramedical programmes is done on the basis of their qualifying degree merit.

Aspirants can register themselves by submitting duly filled-in applications along with the procedure fee via DD. The aspirant must submit the course fees, registration fees and caution deposit via DD/pay order in favor of “MGM University” and payable at Mumbai.

Eligibility: Aspirant must have passed in (10+2) intermediate or higher secondary or equivalent examination with science subjects like Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English from a recognized board or University.

  • Aspirant can obtain the brochure along with the application form upon paying the fee amount of Rs. 500/- at the university office. Finished applications, in all respects, should be submitted along with the relevant documents to the following address:

DD should be drawn in favour of “MGM University” and payable at Mumbai.
  • Aspirants can also download the related application form available at the official university website. Duly filled-in applications should be submitted to the university office within the stipulated time.
  • The aspirant can also obtain an application form and the information brochure by sending a request letter along with the application fee of Rs. 700/- via demand draft (DD).
  • Admission Procedure

    B.Sc

    • The aspirant must have obtained 45% in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology at 10+2 level. In case of vocational courses, the student should have 45% as qualifying marks

    Selection of the aspirant will be done on that basis of his/her merit in 12th Science or equivalent exams for eligibility.

    Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing – (30 seats in MGM College, Navi Mumbai):

    Eligibility Criteria:

    You need to have cleared higher secondary/ senior secondary/intermediate/10+2/equivalent exam from a recognized board.

    You need to register as R.N.R.M with the State Nurses Registration Council in case of G.N.M (General Nursing and Midwifery)

    Foreign nursing which is affiliated from Indian Nursing Council would be considered equivalent in case of G.N.M. from foreign countries.
