Mahatma Gandhi Chitrakoot Gramoday Vishwavidyalaya (MGCGV) is a rural university at Chitrakoot, India founded on February 12th, 1991 by social activist Nanaji Deshmukh, via a separate MP Government Act (9, 1991). The university offers admission to the following undergraduate courses for the year: The university is an institute dedicated to teaching, learning, and research. Approved by UGC, the university aims to offer higher education to people living in rural areas.
B.A (Bachelor of Arts)
The candidates for admission in any of the above courses can opt for online registration. The aspirant can fill up the online application form via the university website and submit the same along with need documents and processing fee.
Aspirants are admitted to the above mentioned Under Graduate programmes on the basis of merit to be determined by the Entrance Test and counseling, both organized by the University.
For B.Sc. Ag. & Entrepreneurship, entrance test will be organized by the Vyavsayik Parichha Mandal, (VYAPAM) Bhopal. Admission to B.Tech. Agricultural Engineering will be done on the basis of PAT and counseling at MGCGV. For B.Ed. /B.El.Ed. admissions, aspirants should apply online as per directives of Higher Education, Department of MP Government.

All applicable and interested aspirants intending for admission should apply online via the Institute website and submit. Aspirants are supposed to fill an online application via www.Mgcgvchitrakoot.com according to the following steps:
The University will organize an Entrance test based on at least eligibility criteria at the University campus for selection of the participants for admission to the aforestated Undergraduate courses.
The selection of aspirants on the basis of the entrance test shall be made via the merit of the aspirant which shall be decided according to the performance of the aspirant in the entrance test and a subsequent counseling.
In all the professional courses (B.Ed. /B.El.Ed./B.Tech.), admissions are done via Central/ state level entrance body, however, leftover seats will be filled by local counseling.
Entrance Examination Level shall be of the at least eligibility level qualifying exam, general knowledge, present affair & aptitude test.
The aspirants who qualify in the entrance examination shall be informed to attend the counseling.
Aspirants who are selected in the final counseling procedure are directed to submit attested copies of the following documents along with their respective originals for verification at the time of taking admission within the stipulated time period:
Seats are reserved according to the policy of MP government -according to which 80% Seats are reserved for MP Aspirants (having domicile certificate) and 20% Seats for Other State Aspirants.
Reservation of seats for other categories of MP only is given below in the tabular form:
