MANUU (Maulana Azad National Urdu University) was founded in 1998. The university has founded three Industrial Training Institutes and three Polytechnic Colleges in Hyderabad, Bengaluru, and Darbhanga. The university has 24 departments which offer undergraduate, postgraduate and research programs. University offered admission either on the basis of merit in the qualifying exam or merit in the entrance examination/interview associated by the University In case of MSW the Aspirants need to face interview for qualificationsReservation for SC/ST & OBC Aspirants for admission into various programs will be as per the Govt. of India rules Limited hostel facility for boys and girls is available which will be offered subject to vacancy

University provides different postgraduate courses in many branches.

Postgraduate course:

  • M.Sc. (in 3 branches)
  • M.A (in 14 branches)
  • M.Com

Aspirants can get admission to the above-mentioned courses via merit in qualifying degree organized by the university.

Aspirants can register themselves to the above-mentioned course by submitting the application fee of amount Rs. 500/-.

SC/ST/PwD/ Women aspirants can register themselves to the above-mentioned courses by submitting an application fee of amount Rs. 300/-.

Foreign national aspirants can register themselves to the above-mentioned courses by submitting the application fee of amount $100.

The following article discusses the detailed information on the eligibility criteria, and admission procedure and selection process for the above mentioned programmes.           

Courses provided:

We have following eligibility points which are common to all the Post Graduate programmes are as below:

  • The aspirant must have passed MA entrance test with minimum 35% marks in qualifying examination.
  • 5 years of age relaxation is given to SC/ST aspirants, 3 years in case of OBC and 10 years for PWD aspirants.
  • For SC/ST and women aspirants will offer 5% relaxation in both the entrance merit and qualifying marks.
  • The eligibility requirement for Kashmiri migrants are minimum cut-off percentage is 10% to subject

Eligibility

Master of Arts [MA] (Urdu)

  • The aspirant must have studied Urdu as a main or optional subject or as a language at Degree or equivalent from this university or any recognized university.
  • The aspirant who has studied allied subjects i.e. Arabic & Persian are also qualified to apply

Master of Arts [MA] (English)

  • The aspirant must pass bachelor’s degree with minimum 45% of marks in English.
  • Preference will be given to aspirants who have studied English literature in qualifying degree program or English as optional in qualifying degree program or English studied as a language in qualifying degree program.

Master of Arts [MA] (Hindi)

The aspirant must have studied Hindi as a language or optional Subject in Degree or Equivalent from this university or any other recognized university.

Master of Arts [MA] (Translation Studies)

The aspirant must have studied English and Urdu at 10th or 12th or Degree or equivalent level from this university or any other recognized university

Master of Arts [MA] (Arabic)

  • The aspirant must have studied Arabic as a main or second language in Degree/equivalent from this university or any other recognized university
  • Aspirants with advance/senior Diploma in Arabic with above basic qualifications are also qualified but preference will be given to those who have studied Arabic as the main language.

Master of Arts [MA] (Persian)

The aspirant must have studied Persian as main or second language or Degree with Urdu or Arabic as Languages and studied Persian at any level from this university or any other recognized university.

Master of Arts [MA] (Women Studies)

The aspirant must possess any bachelor’s or equivalent degree with 40% marks from this university or any other recognized university.

 

Master of Arts [MA] (Public Administration)

The aspirant must possess any bachelor’s or equivalent degree with 40% marks from this university or any other recognized university but preference will be given to those who have studied Public Administration and Political Science subjects in Degree

Master of Arts [MA] (Political Science)

The aspirant must possess any bachelor’s or equivalent degree with 40% marks from this university or any other recognized university but preference will be given to those who have studied Public Administration and Political Science subjects in Degree.

Master of Social Work [MSW]

The aspirant must possess any bachelor’s or equivalent degree with 45% marks from this university or any other recognized university but preference will be given to those who have studied social science in graduation.

Master of Arts [MA] (Islamic Studies)

The aspirant must possess any bachelor’s or equivalent degree with 40% marks from this university or any other recognized university.

Master of Arts [MA] (History)

The aspirant must possess any bachelor’s or equivalent degree with 40% marks from this university or any other recognized university but preference will be given to those who have studied history in graduation

Master of Arts [MA] (Economics)

The aspirant must possess any bachelor’s or equivalent degree with 40% marks from this university or any other recognized university but preference will be given to those who have studied sociology, social anthropology, history, political science, economics, social work, women studies and other social science branches.

Master of Arts [MA] (Sociology)

The aspirant must possess any bachelor’s or equivalent degree with 40% marks from this university or any other recognized university but preference will be given to those who have studied Economics, Management, Accounting, Finance, Commerce, Statistics, and Mathematics.

Master of Commerce [M.Com]

The aspirant must possess the degree in B.Com. (General) / B.Com. (Computers)/ B.Com. (Company Secretary) with 45% of marks from this university or any other recognized university.

Master of Science'M.Sc] (Mathematics)

The aspirant must possess any bachelor’s or equivalent degree with Mathematics as one of the subjects with 45% marks from this university or any other recognized university

Age limit eligibility:

Eligibility

Male Aspirants, age should be 35years and female aspirants age should be 40 years.

Step To Apply

MA, M.Com & M.Sc

For Indian aspirants:

  • Incorrect/incomplete application forms or forms without Challan of requisite fee and applications received after the last date shall be rejected
  • The aspirant must have to upload scanned copies of all the following documents along with the application form which is as below:
  • Aspirants can register themselves to the above-mentioned course by submitting the application fee of amount Rs. 500/- via challan at any discipline of State Bank of India.
  • SC/ST/PwD/ Women aspirants can register themselves to the above-mentioned courses by submitting an application fee of amount Rs. 300/-.
  • Aspirants must have to fill only online applications for all programmes available on the university website
  • Documents uploaded by aspirants must be verified by the university at the time of admission if any discrepancy finds at the time of documents verification it may lead to rejection of admission.
  • University has the right to reject the application and to cancel the admission of any aspirant on valid reasons as per the norms of the University

Enclosures

  1. Proof of Urdu education at 10th /12th level
  2. Photo of aspirant or anyone parent/guardian
  3. Receipt of Challan as applicable
  4. 10th class/equivalent marks sheet
  5. Copies of certificates/Marks sheet of qualifying examinations
  6. Proof of caste/category certificate

For foreign national aspirants:

  • Foreign national aspirants can register themselves to the above-mentioned courses by submitting the application fee of amount $100.
  • If foreign national aspirant selected into any programme then aspirants shall produce the following documents:
  1. Student's Visa
  2. Medical Certificate prescribed by Govt. of India
  3. Clearance from MEA

The aspirant must have to submit the following enclosures along with the application form which is as below:

  1. All certificates and marks sheet or grade card from High School onwards with certified English translation
  2. A Letter of recommendation from the Principal/Director of the College/Centre/University, where the aspirant finished the studies last. The letter must be sent in a sealed envelope or by e-mail to the Head of the Department in which admission is sought.
  3. A proof of adequate financial support or scholarship

Aspirants must have to submit the following documents at the time of admission which are as below:

  1. All Original Certificates with their transcript in English (if the certificates are in another language)
  2. Photocopy of Passport and Visa
  3. Medical fitness certificate from a recognized hospital
  4. Prescribed Fee
  5. Two sets of photocopies of all certificates
  6. Twelve passport size latest colour photographs
  7. Four self-addressed postal stamped envelopes
  8. Testimonials from two referees

Aspirants must have to submit the following documents at the time of registration which are as below:

  1. A provisional admission/eligibility letter
  2. Passport with a student visa
  3. Residential proof
  4. Bonafide certificate
  5. HIV certificate obtained from any recognized hospital on arrival in India

Selection of the aspirants to the above-mentioned aspirants is done on the basis of merit or entrance test and interview organized by the university.
