Manipal University is a deemed university founded in 1956. It is situated in Manipal, Karnataka and is a member of the Association of Commonwealth Universities. The University provides different courses in many streams like medicine, dentistry, engineering, pharmacy, hotel management, and communication.

Manipal University provides B.Tech and M.Tech (Postgraduates) degrees in several engineering streams including Computer Science, Electrical, Mechanical, Building Science, and Chemical. The duration of the B. Tech course is a minimum of 4 years (8 semesters), during which Aspirants will need to earn 170 credits in order to be awarded the degree.

The MIT B. Tech curriculum is highly flexible, with Aspirants having the option to choose from a wide range of elective courses and open electives. Minor specialization will be decided based on the electives chosen by each student.

Manipal Institute of Technology aims to ensure a seamless learning experience for Aspirants, providing an Academic Management System that enables easy online access to academic information for all stakeholders. The first-year course materials have even been made available on the internet.

Admission to the above-mentioned programmes is merit-based or via MDAT or MUOET. There is no entrance test for BASPL programme. The aspirant can register by submitting the entrance fee of Rs. 1400/-.

Eligibility Criteria

Bachelor in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology [BASLP]

Eligibility

  • The aspirant must have passed 10+2, A level, IB, American 12th grade or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, and English as mandatory subjects along with Mathematics or Biology as an optional subject with minimum 50% marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry and any one of the optional subjects.
  • Aspirants must be Indian Nationals.

B.Pharm

Eligibility

  • Aspirants must be Indian Nationals.
  • Aspirants must have passed 10+2 examination with Physics, Chemistry, and English with Mathematics or Biotechnology or Computer Science or Biology as optional subjects.

Age limit eligibility

  • Aspirants who have a date of birth as or before December 12, 1999, are qualified for the course.

B. (Lateral Entry):

Eligibility

  • The aspirant must possess Diploma in Pharmacy from an institute recognized by the Pharmacy Council of India.
  • Aspirants must be Indian Nationals.

Eligibility criteria for the above-mentioned courses are as follows:

Eligibility

  • The aspirant must have passed 10+2, A level, IB, American 12th grade or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry and English with Biology or Biotechnology or Mathematics or any other Life Sciences subject as optional and minimum 55% marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry and any one of the optional subjects
  • Aspirants must be Indian Nationals.

BA

  4. Culinary Arts

All the 4 courses mentioned above have the following eligibility criteria:

Eligibility

  • Aspirants must be Indian Nationals.
  • The aspirant must have passed 10+2, A level, IB, American 12th grade or equivalent with minimum 45% marks.

MBBS

Eligibility

  • Aspirants must be Indian Nationals.
  • The aspirant must have passed 10+2, A level, IB, American 12th grade or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and English individually with a minimum of 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Biotechnology taken together.

Age limit eligibility

Date of birth of the aspirant should fall on or before January 01, 2000.

Bachelor of Science [B.Sc] (Cardiovascular Technology)

Eligibility

  • Aspirants must be Indian Nationals.
  • The aspirant must have passed 10+2, A level, IB, American 12th grade or equivalent with Physics, Mathematics and English and biology with minimum 50% marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.

Bachelor of Science [B.Sc] (Health Information Administration)

Eligibility

  • The aspirant must possess a group of subjects in any Science/Arts/Commerce with minimum 50% aggregate marks.
  • Aspirants must be Indian Nationals.

 

Bachelor of Science [B.Sc] (Medical Laboratory Technology)

Eligibility

  • Aspirants must be Indian Nationals.
  • The aspirant must have passed 10+2, A level, IB, American 12th grade or equivalent with Physics, Mathematics and English and Biology with minimum 50% marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.

Bachelor of Science [B.Sc] (Medical Imaging Technology)

  • The aspirant must possess 3 years diploma in hotel management or equivalent after 10+2 with more than 50% aggregate marks
  • Aspirants must be Indian Nationals.

Eligibility

  • Aspirants must be Indian Nationals.
  • The aspirant must have passed 10+2 or 3 years diploma by Central/State government from any board.

Bachelor of Optometry [B. Optom]

Eligibility

  • The aspirant must have passed 10+2, A level, IB, American 12th grade or equivalent with Physics, Mathematics and English and Biology or Mathematics as optional subjects with minimum 50% marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry and any one of the optional subjects.
  • Aspirants must be Indian Nationals.

Bachelor of Science [B.Sc] (Perfusion Technology)

  • Aspirants must be Indian Nationals.
  • The aspirant must have passed 10+2, A level, IB, American 12th grade or equivalent with Physics, Mathematics and English and Biology with minimum 50% marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.

Bachelor of Physiotherapy [BPT]

Eligibility

  • Aspirants must be Indian Nationals.
  • The aspirant must have passed 10+2, A level, IB, American 12th grade or equivalent with Physics, Mathematics and English and Biology with minimum 50% marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.

Application Procedure

BBA/BBM , B.Com & BA

  1. The aspirant must fill the application form in his/her handwriting.
  2. The application form will be rejected if there is overwriting, striking off or erasing anywhere in the form.
  3. The aspirant must remit the entrance fee via DD which should be drawn in favor of 'Manipal University' payable at Manipal or Udupi. Both application number and name should be mentioned on the back of DD.
  4. Aspirants are not allowed to fold, staple or clip the form.
  5. Aspirants must keep a copy of the filled application for future reference.

Selection Procedure

Bachelor of Optometry [B. Optom], Bachelor of Science [B.Sc] (Perfusion Technology) & Bachelor of Physiotherapy [BPT]

  • Selection of General Category aspirants in the courses like BPT/BOT/ B.PFT  is based on marks obtained in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology in the qualifying examination
  • Selection of General Category aspirants in the courses like B.Optom is based on marks obtained in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology or Mathematics in the qualifying examination

Bachelor in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology [BASLP]

  • Selection of General category aspirants is based on the marks obtained in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology or Mathematics in the qualifying examination and for Foreign/NRI Category, selection will be based upon the marks obtained in the qualifying examination.
  • Selection of the aspirant will be based on the merit list which is based on the 10 +2 marks in Mathematics and if two or more aspirants obtain equal marks then selection will be based on the marks obtained in English and qualifying examination marks. 

Bachelor of Pharmacy [B.Pharm]

  • Selection of the aspirants in the B.Pharm (Lateral Entry) course is based on the marks in the qualifying examination.
  • Selection of the aspirants in the B.Pharm course is based on the basis of rank in All India Manipal University Online Entrance Test (MUOET).

Bachelor of Design [B.Des] (Fashion Design) & Bachelor of Design [B.Des] (Interior Design)

  • Selection of the aspirants is based on the marks secured in Manipal University Design Aptitude Test (MDAT) organized by Manipal University. Aspirants must secure minimum 50 % marks in the qualifying exam in order to get admission in the course.

BA & MBBS

  • Selection of the aspirants is based on the rank achieved in the All India Manipal University Online Entrance Test (MUOET).

Hostel:

  • 1st year Under Graduate students are offered with double/triple rooms only
  • Foreign/NRI students may create their rooms in advance while submitting their application forms
  • University offer hostel rooms with numerous facilities (study table, chair and cupboard, uninterrupted electricity, solar/electric heated water facility, water cooler with aquaguard filters, common telephone, common TV room, common reading room etc.) to all aspirants
