Founded in 2015, Mandsaur University (MU) is a UGC recognised private university, situated in Madhya Pradesh. The primary goal of the university is to emerge as a leading center of academic excellence and play a transformational role in the development of the nation.
In addition to regular Undergraduate and Postgraduate courses in different fields such as engineering, pharmacy, management, library science and journalism, the university also provides research courses i.e. Master of Philosophy (M.Phil) and Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.). Only aspirants with the relevant qualifying degree can register themselves for admission to M.Phil/ Ph.D. courses and final selection will be done on the basis of marks scored in the Entrance Test, organized by the university.
The application procedure usually starts in the month of January and ends in February and aspirants can register through online as well as offline mode. Applications can be submitted along with the procedure fee through online registration procedure available at the official university website. Forms can also be obtained in person from the university office and submitted upon completion along with the need fee on or before the last date.

Note: Aspirants need to bring the original fee receipt along with the hall ticket in order to appear for entrance examination.
The selection of the aspirants for both the courses is based on Entrance test and aspirants will be selected as per the merit list announced after organizing individual interview and verification of original documents.
The period of the exam will be 2 hours and there will be two papers: Paper I and Paper II. The exam format is explained below:
Paper I is common for all streams comprising 50 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) of 1 mark each. Aspirants who have done M.Phil via distance education are not exempted from coursework.
Questions will comprise following areas:
Paper II would be a subject-specific comprising 50 MCQs from the specified syllabus.
Note: All selected Ph.D. /M.Phil. Students will have to attend the course work for one semester.
SC/ST and physically challenged/disabled aspirants will get 5% relaxation in the qualifying exam.
