Maharashtra Animal and Fishery Sciences University (MAFSU) is one of the pioneer institutes concerned to Veterinary Research and Extension in Central India. It is a globally recognized institution which specializes in courses concerned to an animal, veterinary, dairy and fishery sciences.

The university provides the following 3 courses at the undergraduate level to its students:

  • Bachelor of Fisheries Science (B.F.Sc.)
  • Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.)
  • Bachelor of Veterinary Sciences & Animal Husbandry (B.V.Sc. & A.H.)

Admission to the above-mentioned programmes is done via the performance of the aspirant in the qualifying examination. The aspirant can register themselves by applying online and submitting the application fee Rs.600/- (in case of GC) and Rs. 300/- (in case of SC/ST/OBC).

For Indian aspirants:

Eligibility: Aspirant must have passed 10+2 examination with NEET from Maharashtra State Board with minimum 50% marks in physics, chemistry, biology, and English together for unreserved categories.  For reserved category aspirants, at least 40% aggregate needs in the above subjects.

For NRI aspirants:

For B.V.Sc. & A.H. programme:

  • Candidate must have passed in 10+2 examination with minimum 50% marks in physics, chemistry, biology, and English separately. Candidates must have appeared for Common Entrance Test
  • Candidates should have completed 17 years of age at the time of applying for admission
  • For B.Tech. & B.F.Sc. in Diary technology programme:

    Eligibility:

    • Candidate must have passed in 10+2 with minimum 50% marks in physics, chemistry, biology and English taken together. Candidate must have appeared for Common Entrance Test
    • Candidates should have completed 17 years of age at the time of applying for admission

    Step to Apply

    • Candidate can download the prospectus along with the application form available at the official university website
    • To apply online, candidates are required to visit the official website and go to the “Apply online” section. Upon filling in all the required details and uploading documents, photograph, and signature, the candidate should click on “Submit” button
    • While applying online, candidates have to submit application fee of Rs. 600 (Rs. 300 in case of SC/ST/OBC) online through Net Banking or Credit / Debit Card
    • All category Candidates (including reserved & unreserved) from states other than Maharashtra have to pay application fee of Rs. 600/-

    Candidates have to submit application form along with all the self attested following documents:

    1. Mark sheet /Grade card of qualifying examination
    2. School / College (Last attended) Leaving Certificate
    3. Bonafide Certificate in case of candidate admitted by ICAR quota
    4. Migration Certificate (if applicable)
    5. Domicile Certificate / Residential Certificate
    6. Caste Certificate (if applicable)
    7. Caste Validity Certificate issued by the Competent Authority
    8. 'Non-Creamy Layer Certificate' issued on or after April 01, 2015 or valid up to the date of submission of application form
    9. Landless Agricultural Labourer Certificate issued by the Tahsildar/Naib Tahsildar
    10. Certificate of Agriculturist for the year 2014-2015 issued by the Tahsildar or Naib Tahsildar
    11. Certificate of ‘Project Affected Person’ issued by the District Resettlement Officer of Government of Maharashtra
    12. N.C.C. ‘B’ or ‘C’ / Air / Naval /Army wing Certificate
    13. Certificate of Games/Sports/Debate/Essay/Elocution issued by the District Sports Officer
    14. A Certificate of the Freedom Fighter of the applicant’s parents issued under the signature of the Honourable Prime Minister / Chief Minister of Maharashtra State
    15. N.S.S. Certificate issued by the Competent Authority
    16. Defence Personnel Certificate from Zilla Sainik Board
    17. ‘No-Objection Certificate’ from the Employer in case of Inservice Candidate
    18. Migrant/Displaced students from Jammu and Kashmir State should submit Certificate from the Competent Authority
    19. Certificate of Handicapped issued by the Competent Authority (if applicable)

    Admission Procedure

    Bachelor of Veterinary Science [BVSc] & A.H.

    Selection of candidates shall be made on the basis of merit in Common Entrance Test (MH-CET).

    Bachelor of Fisheries Science [BFSc] & Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Dairy Technology)

    Selection of the candidates will be done based on the merit in the qualifying examination.

    Reservation Criteria

    Reservation for B.V.Sc & A.H programme:

    • 70% seats will be reserved of regional quota i.e. (R-Quota) and 30% will be served for state quota i.e. (S-Quota) candidates.
    • 15% of total intake of each Veterinary College shall be filled by Veterinary Council of India (VCI).

    Reservation for B.Tech & B.F.Sc programmes:

    • 15% seats will be reserved on the basis of All India Entrance Examination conducted by ICAR New Delhi

    Reservation for NRI candidates:

    • 10 seats over and above the regular intake are reserved for NRI/FN/PIO candidate
