M. S. Ramaiah University of Applied Sciences (MSRUAS) invites all aspirants to join their Undergraduate and Postgraduate courses by following the direct method of the selection process. To make the University, the institutions like M S Ramaiah School of Advanced Studies, M.S. Ramaiah College of Hotel Management, M.S. Ramaiah College of Pharmacy, M.S. Ramaiah Dental College, and the M.S. Ramaiah Advanced Learning Center were integrated. The University is sponsored by the Gokula Education Establishation (Medical) trust. The University was founded in December 2013, although it was formally inaugurated in March 2014, under the act of the state of Karnataka.

The University has a total of 7 faculties with 34 academic departments, and 6 Directorates. The University offers a fair chance of internship in a foreign country like UK, Germany, France, Russia, Czech Republic, and in the US. It is currently not accredited by NAAC as the University has not yet had two batches of graduates.

The University does not hold any entrance exams for the following programs. The admission is granted on the basis of the marks scored by the aspirant in his 10+2 or equivalent exam (for Undergraduate courses) and merit in marks of Graduate Degree (for Postgraduate courses). Eligibility: The aspirant must possess a Second Year Pre-University degree or must have finished 10+2 or a technical diploma or equivalent examination.


Duration: 4 years

  • Lateral Entry: The aspirants who seeking to take admission straight to 2nd year must have a one-year certification in either Food and Beverages or Room Division, along with a pass in 10+2 level. If the certification is through a distance course, the aspirant must also have a minimum of 1-year experience in the hospitality sector.
  • Regular mode: The aspirant must have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognized institution with a minimum of 40% (35% for reserved categories) marks.

Note: This eligibility is for Product Design only as it is the only course provided in the year 2018.

Eligibility: The aspirant must have an MBBS, BDS, Nursing, or equivalent degree with at least 50% marks.

Master of Business Administration [MBA] (Hotel Management)

Eligibility: The aspirant must have a Graduate level degree with a minimum of 50% marks. The aspirants also need to undergo a 2-week stabilization course to get familiar with hotel management.

  • Demand draft of INR 1,000/- is to be sent along with the filled application form.
  • The form, the demand draft, an attested copy of the mark sheet of 10+2, and the copy of Undergraduate degree (for postgraduate courses)  are to be sent to:

MSRUAS UG & PG Admission Procedure 2018

BHM, MHA & M.Com

  • The following documents (original + 3 copies) are needed during the admission:
  • After submitting the documents, the students would then have to fill the fee for their respective courses.
  • The aspirants are chosen on the basis of the marks scored by them in their 10+2 or equivalent exam (for Undergraduate courses) and their Undergraduate degree marks (for postgraduate courses).
  • After counseling, the students will be chosen on basis of their marks and their preferences. The documents of the selected students will then be verified.
  • Counseling will be conducted at the University campus. The aspirants need to attend the counseling along with their copies of marks.
