Lucknow University is one of the prestigious state university situated in Lucknow. Lucknow University provides admission to BBA (Bachelor of business administration) and B.Com (Hons) programs. Lucknow University BBA and B.Com (Hons) Programs Eligibility Criteria


BBA Eligibility

For General and OBC aspirants, a pass certificate in class 12 or equivalent examination is a must with minimum 50% aggregate marks and for Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes, at least requirement is 45% marks based on total marks of all subjects.

B.Com (Hons) Eligibility

Intermediate or equivalent examination with commerce or Intermediate with economics or mathematics as one of the subjects of study.

General and OBC aspirants must secure minimum 60% of marks and for SC and ST at least requirement is 55% aggregate marks.

Lucknow University BBA and B.Com (Hons) Programs How to Apply?


The registration procedure will be started from March 27, 2018 (tentatively). The registration window will be closed on May 12, 2018. Aspirants who wish to apply can submit the application form on the official website of the university. Applications received after due date will not be accepted.

It is aspirantโ€™s responsibility that all the information mentioned on the application form must be accurate and exactly same with the information of original documents. Aspirants need to give a valid email address or phone number on the application form.

Students have to pay the application fee of INR 1000 at the time of registration procedure. There is a relaxation of INR 500 for reserved category aspirants.

Steps to Apply

  1. Go to the official website of Lucknow University i.e.
  2. Click on admission link
  3. Register by using your email id and password
  4. Login after the confirmation of email
  5. Enter the details asked in the application form
  6. Upload the signature and photograph in jpeg pattern
  7. Image size should not be more than 50 kb
  8. Save the application form
  9. Pay the application fee by either of the available modes
  10. Take the print out of application form for reference.

Lucknow University BBA and B.Com (Hons) Programs Selection Procedure

The selection procedure for admission to BBA and B.Com (Hons) program is based on written test.

  • After the declaration of written test result qualifying aspirants on the basis of their performance in written test will be considered for admission.
  • The final selection is done on the basis of merit.
  • Application appropriate for admission will be called for written test.

In Case of Tie Breaker

If two or more aspirants have secured equivalent marks/rank in the merit Index, then the merit for admission will be determined in following ways:

  • If the marks obtained at the High School or equivalent examination are the same, then, in that case, the older aspirant will be given priority.
  • If the marks secured in the entrance test are same in such cases first preference will be given to aspirant who secures higher percentage of marks at High School or equivalent examination.

Lucknow University BBA and B.Com (Hons) Programs Reservation Criteria

Lucknow University is providing reservation for reserved category aspirants (SC/ ST/ OBC). The clear reservation criteria are mentioned in the table given below.

Note: The scheduled caste, scheduled tribes and other backward class aspirants originally belonging to Uttar Pradesh will be given the benefit of reservation. SC, ST and OBC aspirants of other states will be treated as general.
